    We stayed two nights in Auguest 2026. We had two rooms with twin beds. Positives - rooms were large enough, location is a 5 to 15 minute drive from Fort William depending on traffic. Close to Harry Potter train and ben nevis. Negatives: Hotel is not clean in public areas, carpets are dirty and old with debris everywhere. Rooms are OLD and need updating. Sofas in the rooms were damaged and you could sit in them but I wouldnt. No AC, Bed ding had stains and there was mold in the bathrooms. This feels like a hotel in its prime was loved, but then was sold our in inherited, and the new owner hasnt invested unless its absolutely required . Based on the price we paid **** for two rooms two nights there are better options in Fort William or VRBO or Air BNB for less. If I was you I would look elsewhere for value and the modern standard we expect as consumers.

    Everything starting from check-in to check-out was perfect. I had erred with the number of occupants but the staff helped promptly. Stunning views of Ben Nevis peak from the Cafe, restaurant and rooms. Neptune staircase made out stroll more memorable. Two major attractions of Fort William accessible from one location. The staff took great care of our meals.

    New owner has the hotel running on a skeleton staff. Not sure they are trained properly. The same drinks cost three different prices depending upon who served you.
