Happy with our stay.

The bed was super comfy, kitchen well equipped. Got plenty of communication from the host. Parking close to property, easy access. Great location to village centre & shops. Appreciated the personal touches.

The sofa has seen its best days, not comfy. We visited in late October, heating was insufficient for us.

Lovely, comfy and well equipped apartment

Lovely well equipped apartment with lots of extras and everything you would need for a relaxing stay. The bed was really comfy. The apartment was warm and plenty of hot water. Directions and check in information was clear and easy to understand and we found the apartment easily. There is a designated parking spot with the number of the apartment

Avoid

One of the worst stays we’ve ever had. The apartment was filthy: hairs (including pubic hairs) in the shower, poop stains on and under the toilet seat, and a strong smell of smoke everywhere. Towels and the bed both stank. Honestly, it felt like the kind of run-down accommodation I thought I’d left behind in Eastern Europe. We were also charged £20 for our dog — who is cleaner than the apartment itself. The owner apologised, but that doesn’t help when you can’t sleep and have a full day of driving ahead. We didn’t even complain in the evening, because we just wanted to survive the night and leave — and honestly, I doubt anything would’ve been done anyway. Never again.

Very rude manager

The appartment has all the facilities and we could see that the owner wants to please her guests.

We had to find a book with special instructions to be able use the shower and there were bad tasting beetrot crackers (out of date) left for us in the kitchen cabinet, but it totally wouldn"t matter (because the bedroom was really nice) if we didn't have a very unpleasant experience this the morning. We arrived very late in the evening (due to the accident on the road in front of us) and in the morning we were not completely packed to leave at 10 o clock. We have stayed in many facilities over the years and no one ever knocked on the door at exactly 10:00 to do the cleaning. So we asked for a bit more time but the manager soon entered and demanded:"Just take your things and leave!" and when we took our things out, I wanted to go back and check if we maybe left something, he didn't let me in but threw me out saying:"We already checked, we don't want to go chasing after you!" When I complained about his behaviour to the owner she didn't even appologise, but assumed that we must have been the ones who were rude. This is the first unpleasant experience I had through many years of using booking.com.

It was exceptional with lovely homely touches.The owner went above and beyond with a lovely bottle of red wine, tunnocks tea cakes and Netflix availability. Will definitely highly recommend, the perfect getaway.

Great Apartment, Great Location, Great Host

Our host (Tina) was a pleasure to deal with and helped us out with check-in. The apartment had everything we needed (especially a washing machine and tumble dryer), and the locaation was great (a short walk from the busy area, but not so close as to be noisy). Parking was easy, free, and straightforward. There is a single flight of stairs up to the apartment, but not too strenuous. The property was ideal for us on a tour round Scotland, and a great place to explore Loch Ness. The much smaller (and less busy) Loch Oich is a lovely walk down the canal/river - about 4.5 miles each way - really peaceful in the early morning. It is beautiful and much less hectic (we went in high season).

It was perfect for us, and I recommend it.

Excellent, fully equipped apartment. The host had thought of everything visitors might need (earbuds, cling film, you name it) plus a few things we probably didn't need but enjoyed anyway (humbugs, Tunnocks tea cakes, bottle of wine). We were very grateful for a comfortable stay in this spacious apartment.

The apartment was just what we needed after walking 11 miles along a stretch of the GGW. It was very comfortable and had absolutely everything you would need, including fresh milk , tea, coffee etc. The flat was spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay again.

Nice cosy stay

Tina was a lovely host and always available with any queries. There was everything you could ever need in the property, including games, books etc. Barry our dog enjoyed the treats that Tina left for him and we enjoyed the bottle of red wine. Would certainly recommend xx

Great place, particularly for a family or group.

Tina has thought of everything that could be needed to make guests feel completely at home. Travelling solo and staying for only one night, I did not need the kitchen facilities, cooking etc. but I think for a family over a few days it is a perfect place. Dave, the manager of the apartment met me on arrival and was great, very helpful and showed me through the home. The location is very good, if you have a car and parking was available. Dave popped back in the morning around check out time, to make sure everything had been good. Highly recommend!

The only thing is the apartment is hard to find in the dark, which was when I arrived. The houses in the "place" all look the same, especially in the snow, and the streets all have the same name, so finding the correct building number was difficult. Luckily, Dave spotted me in the car googling the address and came over to ask if I was the booking looking to check in. More signage and larger numbers on the property may be the solution.

Iets buiten het dorp gelegen apartement. Fort Augustus is klein maar leuk. Apartement fijn formaat en goede keuken, alles aanwezig in voldoende mate. Wasmachine en droger te gebruiken. Fijn bed, fijne badkamer. Contact met de eigenaar vnl via berichten, maar uitermate vriendelijk.
