Fab comfortable stay with everything you needed.

Self catering accommodation. Fabulous facilities, comfortable bed. Great shower. We ate in over our 3 nights as we had been eating out a lot over 2 weeks. Great facilities, dishwasher and washing machine used.

A fabulous and super-relaxing holiday.

Everything! The apartment was beautifully furnished, impeccably clean, and provided everything we could possibly need. The hosts were lovely people and so helpful. The location of the apartment was also a bonus. It worked so well for us on our first trip to the beautiful Highlands, very central, and with numerous fabulous places to explore and visit.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this accommodation!

Beautiful, clean and unique property with wonderful hosts and a great location.

The property was spacious and very beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for getting to lots of places like Skye, Inverness and many more. It was amazingly quiet and surrounded by a beautiful garden. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed for the stay. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us lots of tips of where to go, where to eat and any information we needed. The photos don't do this place justice! I would 100% recommend this place and will be coming back :)

Hidden highland gem!

What a place! Our hosts Felicity and Chris greeted us on arrival with the most thorough guide, they have thought about everything you need for a stay. The property one of the best we have ever stayed in, the attention to detail, the cleanliness everything gleamed. Inside was large and comfortable after a day in the highlands, outside gardens and amble parking. We cooked breakfast at home but wondered into the village for dinner which is just a short stroll. The location of the convent is well away from the crowds during the day. We loved and as we said goodbye our hosts were there farewelling us, it felt like we had been visiting friends!

Felicity and Chris could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The accommodation was stunning and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped and we made full use of it. Fort Augustus is a lovely little town and a good bar for exploring the Highlands.

Luxury stay within walking distance of Fort Augustus

Great location just outside of the village of Fort Augustus and easily could walk it in ten minutes. Felicity and Chris were very welcoming and gave us some great ideas for trips etc. the apartment is beautifully done and so comfortable and fully equipped. Would highly recommend it as would the dog who was very welcome

The perfect place to relax!

This was our second visit to The Old Convent, apartment 2 and it doesn't disappoint in the slightest. We found this little gem last year as a last minute booking when our travel plans changed suddenly and it was the perfect place to rest and relax. Felicity and Chris make you feel so welcome and have thought about all the little things you may need during your stay (Bertie especially enjoyed the doggie treats). You can tell the renovation has been a labour of love and the furnishings have been picked specifically to suit the age of the property (with some lovely mod cons of course). Due to work we always travel out of season so Fort Augustus was quite quiet but there is still plenty to do and you can explore some lovely walks from the doorstep. It was a perfect base for exploring the west coast and Scotland was particularly spectacular covered in January snow, although equally gorgeous when it's not! The apartment is really spacious, super comfy and you feel like you're in a home from home as soon as you walk through the door. So glad we found this place it's been our perfect little winter retreat.

Incredible apartment, beautiful surroundings, lovely friendly, helpful hosts

Felicity & Chris met us to hand over keys and show us how to use facilities in the apartment - also very helpful giving us advice on where to go in the surrounding areas etc. The apartment had everything required for our self catering stay. It exceeded our expectations... beautiful place. Beautifully renovated rooms, we were blown away by the standard of the work done and still ongoing - attention to detail absolutely beautifully done. Outside area - stunning. Able to let our dog off his lead and run around, lovely to pop out for walks. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

We write this review in English (al least we try) because we want to thank our hosts Felicity and Chris for the best holiday we ever had in The Old Convent in Fort Augustus. What is left to say after this statement? Only a few words: the apartment is beautifully renovated, perfectly equipped and absolutely clean and spotless. Felicity and Chris are very welcoming hosts and always ready for useful advices. Without their help we wouldn't have seen the Silver Sands of Morar, used the Glenelg Skye Ferry or eaten the delicious pizza at Beaufort House. Second time and even more impressed

This time my wife, myself and our golden retriever stayed at the lovely spacious apartment on the first floor for four nights. It had lovely views and a large space for all of us. Felicity and Chris were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We loved all their attention to details in the apartment and also the garden which was amazing! Thank you and maybe there’s a third time to stay at this beautiful property if we visit the highlands again.
