Bunratty Star

The room was small but clean and the instructions of the owner were very good - all was clear and worked as described.

The gap between the porch door and the front door was very narrow so quite challenging with the suitcase - other than that everything else was good.

15mins drive to Dublin airport. Clean, comfortable and warm. Large shopping centre across the road. Two supermarkets, cafes, fast food outlets, shoe & clothing shops etc. Bus stop to city centre at front door. Host will transport you to airport for fee about the same price as taxi. Hosts accommodating and quick to reply to messages.

Unappealing front of house. Concrete area surrounded by weeds and rubbish. Not very inviting. Small, thin bath towels.

The room was nicely clean. The neighborhood was crowded and noisy during the day but was ok during the night. there was no air circulation in the room because of only a small window and we were there during a warm day. The kitchen was convenient for toast and coffee in the morning. The bath was small but clean and workable. It is right across from a mall with grocery and McDonalds.

It's a very old building that hasn't been remodeled or updated. I was alarmed at first because of the tiny stairway and inconvenient front door. It would be a challenge in any emergency. There was a bus stop right outside the door. That could be a convenience but also adds to city noise.
