About this apartment rental

I've been doing Homeaway for a couple of years now and it has being going very well, with mostly 5 Star reviews.

This property is a 1- bedroom apartment in a quiet Victorian-period house in Terenure, a nice safe area in Dublin City, and is fully furnished with all mod cons: central heating, Wi-Fi etc. This apartment consists of a double bedroom, ensuite bathroom, and living room cum dining area. A private and secure designated parking space is provided, with access via remote control. It is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

This apartment is very conveniently located, being only a short bus journey to the city centre, with the bus stop directly outside the apartment. This includes a direct bus route to/from the airport from right outside the door. Terenure village is a 5 minute walk away, with many shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, eateries and more. I have included photos of this apartment as well as local restaurants and attractions.

Laundry, cooking, WiFi, TV and private parking are all available in this apartment.

I had a wonderful stay at this ground-floor apartment in a nice part of Dublin. The apartment is wellmaintained, spotless, and very comfortable. The owner is very friendly and does his utmost to ensure you have everything you need for a pleasant stay.The location is almost perfect – the bus stops right in front of the apartment, making it very convenient to get around Dublin. Different supermarkets are on walking distance and there is a nice little coffeeshop (Black Sheep) across the street to fullfill all your cafeïne- and breakfast-needs.I truly enjoyed my time here and will definitely stay again in the future. Highly recommended!

I stayed in the apartment for a long time. It is cozy and well equipped, I felt comfortable in it, I could make myself at home. City centre not far away. Bus just in front of the gate, facilities very convenient. The building is quite old though, and some things are old too. The host is very nice, always ready to help and provide what needed. This is definitely a plus.

We liked it very much in John's flat. The flat is cosy and equipped with the most necessary things. The flat is located in a nice part of town and you can reach the city centre quickly by bus. It's also easy to get there on foot, but it takes a little longer. The host John is very nice and takes good care of his guests before the trip and during the stay. He was able to answer all our questions and gave us tips for Dublin. We can definitely recommend the flat!

We stayed in this apartment on the longitude weekend. Was perfect for getting to Marley park and the city. Bus stop right outside. No road noise. Overall really nice apartment, exactly as advertised. Host (John) was very helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend enough.

This accommodation is outstanding and is a genuine one bedroom apartment as listed. It has everything you need for self catering and laundry facilities which were a bonus. It is an easy bus ride to the central city and the communication from John the host was excellent including great directions and information re busses etc. We highly recommend this property.

Hospitality is the difference

The property itself is comfortable: similar in size to a 1 bedroom flat. It was the perfect size for my wife and me. The location is very good: About 10-15 minute bus ride into the City Centre. John was very accommodating, from our arrival into Dublin at 6:30a until we left. He met us outside the complex at 630a even though the guests staying in our room were not leaving for another 2 hours. He took us to a local Starbucks where he bought us a coffee, gave us a quick local rundown, and then drove us into the City for us to start our adventure, all before checking in! He also gave us use of his Leap Bus card, which saved us probably 20 Euros for back and forth trips in and out of the city for 2 days. Regarding the room, a few unique features (at least for us americans): the shower has a switch which is outside the bathroom/shower room and requires the switch to be turned on/off in order to turn the water on/off. So if you are going to take a shower, you ideally have a loved one you can hollar at to turn the switch off so you don't exit a running shower all soaking wet to turn off in the bedroom (getting floor in bathroom and bedroom wet). The mattress was not very comfortable. If I would make one suggestion, it would be to update the mattresses in the rooms. But I would not downgrade my review as a result of this. Having eye masks for sleeping was very nice since in the summer it's light until 10p or so and gets light again around 4am, and there was a skylight directly above our bed. All in all, my wife and I would unanimously recommend this property and their hospitality. Thanks again John!!

Cracking apartment in the suburbs of Dublin. 10/15 minute bus journey from Temple Bar/City Centre. Tesco Metro just down the road that sells everything you will need. Finally, John the host is extremely helpful/welcoming and will give you all the information you need to maximise your stay in Dublin.

John met us upon our arrival and gave us access to parking behind the house, then gave us a quick tour of everything we needed to know, including how to access the buses to get into central Dublin (and even furnished us with a transport pass to use on buses and trams!) When we left, my wife inadvertently left behind a ring of great significance, but John found it and held on to it until we returned to Dublin the following week, and greeted us at the door when we arrived to retrieve it. Could not ask for a more gracious and friendly host!

The perfect place

This is the perfect location to explore Dublin. The bus stops could not be any closer and the bus system is super easy to use. The owner, John kept in touch, gave very good directions and met us at the apartment when we arrived. He was able to answer all of our questions and had even provided tea and biscuits. The apartment was clean and comfortable and very well located.....just down the street from Tesco and a great pub for meals after a long day of walking. The shower gets 2 thumbs-up. I can easily recommend this home-away!

John was a wonderful host - he met us and provided an overview and frequently checked to see if we needed anything. His property is conveniently located with a bus stop going directly to/from city center literally outside the door. A secure parking space is included but we parked our rental car and used the great public transportation during our stay. The unit is well outfitted and met all our needs. John provided milk and biscuits along with a variety of coffee/tea so we didn't have to immediately go to the store. We particularly loved the bedroom with vaulted ceiling and skylight! A charming wine bar, cafe, and bakery are across the street and a Tesco is a block away. This is the perfect location for a stay in Dublin!

Our host John could not have been more accommodating. Before our arrival he was a great communicator and following our arrival he was extremely helpful. As an example, we were tight on time and so he drove us to the site we wished to visit rather than have us go by bus. When I asked him for a phone adaptor he brought one right over. This was a great value! Plain, clean, and tidy apartment with a secured parking space. There is a small kitchen and a washer/dryer. Just steps from the door was a bus to the city (no transfers, 20 minutes to Trinity college) and several nice restaurants and stores within a short walk. John was a great host - he stocked the apartment with toiletries, dish and clothes soap, coffee/tea/chocolate and even provided a bus card that we could use and refill during our stay. There was some construction at the site when we stayed there, but it didn't affect our comfort.
