Clee Clean, modern, comfy with mix of travellers and workers

Clean modern hostel with well equipped kitchen. Parking on street near hostel is free at weekends and after 5pm. Great for a one night layover.

This hostel seemed to have a 60:40 mix of travellers and people working in Auckland.

A week spent a shared room, definitely worth it for the price and safety :)

Staff was absolutely lovely and very helpful! The hostel was quite close to the city center, I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go. Would definitely suggest if you're visiting and need a place to stay but are short on funds.

Unfortunately the shared room I was in was on the top floor and didn't have windows that could open. We did have a fan, but no matter what it was way too warm to be in without the fan on and door open.

An interesting hostel in town

The location was ideal and easy to navigate Auckland by bus. The kitchen was clean. The dinosaur bedding was hilarious. 😃

The elevator was broken, and walking up three flights of stairs several times a day wasn't ideal. Also, I was a bit creeped out by everyone's food being out in the open in the kitchen. While I didn't see any roaches thankfully, that's the kind of environment they thrive in. Maybe move the outside smoking section to the opposite side of the building, as smoke can enter the lounge windows. Lastly, the showers were really awkward, as there were no shelves to put soap etc, and no hooks for clothing.

Eating is very hard. Angry management. People not so nice . Food got stolen . Was expensive new bag milk powder. So didn't work out so cheap over all.

Great!

Very nice hostel in a great location. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always trying their best to accommodate, which more than made up for a few minor shortcomings. Overall a lovely stay and a place I’d happily recommend.

Frank is the best receptionist ever

Hostel location was great The rooms were clean Good WiFi But most importantly the receptionist Frank , a true gem , kind-hearted and extremely helpful He made my stay so smooth and memorable and wouldn't have had the same experience without him . I highly recommend this hostel and thank you Frank for everything 谢谢侬

This is absolutely the best hostel I've ever stayed at in Auckland — no contest! The rooms are clean and tidy, and the location is great – you can even see the Sky Tower from outside the window. What makes it truly special is the feeling of being at home, sharing stories with so many young travelers from all over the world. The manager, Frank, and the entire staff are incredibly friendly and warm, always making you feel welcome. He answered all my questions with great patience and attention to detail. With its affordable price, safe environment, and reliable service, this hostel has become my second home in Auckland. This is my second time staying here, and it will always be my first choice whenever I'm in Auckland.

Very central. Nice staff.

Did not look like the photos at all. Cockroach in my room. Random person asleep on the sofa in the common area in the morning. Very dirty bathroom and no handwashing facilities. No where to hang your clothes or put your things in the unisex showers. Very misleading. Confusing entry

Nowhere near enough amenities (kitchen, lounge and bathroom) for it's capacity. Bathrooms not kept clean, water all over the floor and one shower reeked of urine which was off-putting.

Big on service, small on price.

The staff were super friendly and accomodating, I got in touch with them prior to arriving to ensure everything was in place and they provided very impressive details about where to park and how much it would cost, etc. upon arrival they had everything organised and took us to our room. Beds were comfy and bathroom facilities were well kept and clean. We walked to the CBD twice from this location and it’s an easy walk from eden park. Great location. I was apprehensive about the major road right next door…. Barely noticed it. Couldn’t have asked for much more considering the price and location. Above all, thanks for the welcoming and easy stay.

Could you please add more clothes hooks in the showers, ideally off to the side so you don’t get your towel and clothes wet while having a shower, that would be great. Thank you.

I stayed here for sometime when I first moved up to Auckland while I was looking for a job and a house, it was very nice

Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, very close to shops and transport. Staff are very welcoming and extra helpful. I was very thankful A+ would recommend to travellers of all kinds😃

Feels like I am staying with my very close friends.

The staff and owner is very nice very humble very polite and treat everyone with regards and respect, I didn’t feel like I was staying at backpackers I felt the I am staying at my friends house because the staff and Owner is really nice grateful

Nothing dislike, everything is very nice and it’s new business so I will definitely support them all times whenever I visit next I will stay at star hostel only.

Great Hostel, Exceptional Staff

Lovely little hostel about 10 mins from the city centre, easy walk to everything. The most friendliest staff you could ever meet, they genuinely care about this place and the people staying at it! Beds super comfy, seem like brand new mattresses. Overall pleasant experience and amazing value for money

Our room didn’t have a window, was ok for 2 nights, and we got a very good sleep! But would probably prefer some natural daylight for a longer stay, but we were out exploring most of the time anyway so it didn’t actually affect us

Une excellente auberge. Elle se situe pas très loins du centre qui est facilement accessible à pied. L’auberge est très bien entretenue et propre. La seule amélioration possible serait de mettre un petit rideau au niveau des lits sinon le reste est parfait. Ce que nous retenons surtout c’est la gentillesse des propriétaires qui sont très arrangeants nous permettent d’arriver dans les meilleures conditions à l’aéroport.

Super Aufenthalt in super Lage zu super Preis

Die Besitzer waren super freundlich und zuvorkommend, bei jedem Anliegen wurde uns geholfen. Wir haben einen Ventilator bekommen als es im Zimmer zu warm wurde und sie haben meinen Koffer verwahrt. Es war super sauber für ein Hostel, die Toiletten haben sogar Bidets. Jeden Tag wurden die Zimmer gesaugt. Die Küche ist groß und sauber. Draußen gibt es einen schönen Sitzbereich.
