Niwa Hotel

A wonderful place, beautifully designed and decorated with great taste. We rented three of the four villas, which worked really well for our group. The swimming pool is excellent and the whole property has a very peaceful and beautiful atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and always happy to help. They helped us arrange scooter rentals, as well as taxis from the airport and to the port in Mataram, which made everything much easier. Having a scooter is highly recommended in Kuta Lombok. Without one, it can be difficult to reach most beaches and restaurants, some of which are more than 30 minutes away on foot. But we paid around 5€/day for one, so it ended up being affordable. The villas are comfortable and the attention to detail in the decoration is a real highlight.

It is not an affordable option for every traveller, especially for those travelling on a tighter budget. The garden could make better use of its space. There is a lovely grassy area that would be perfect for yoga, but it would benefit from some shade and perhaps a small wooden deck or covered platform to make it more practical and comfortable. The hot water was quite unstable and did not last very long. It also seemed to depend on whether other guests were showering at the same time, so we had several cold showers. Luckily, given the weather, this was not a major problem.

Lovely little pearl run by amazing staff. Super clean and quite, would love to come back.

The bathroom sink and shower doesn't drain very well, but just a minor thing that could be improved for the future.

Quiet place and beautiful accommodation. We didn’t hear any mosques or streets. Everything was beautifully designed and went at home immediately.
