The house was amazing. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. The host met us on arrival and gave us a guided tour of the very historic and interesting house. Helpful noticeboard with local takeaway & restaurant menus.
Just a few minor niggles with how well the kitchen was equipped. But we were able to work around it.

The location was perfect for exploring the area, with plenty to see nearby as well as longer walks. The town itself is nice, although showing some signs of decline in places. There are plenty of pubs left though, serving interesting and varied beers in a great atmosphere. The house was impressive but cosy, with lots of history behind it. Dave explained the history of the house and some of the contents. Everything was spotless, and the facilities were well maintained. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
