About this cottage rental
Welcome to our "Rivah" cottage! Our adorable cottage with 2 bedrooms (1 King , 1 Queen) and separate studio/office building with 1 twin bunk and 1 queen bed (available to book with 3 or more guests for extra fee); studio includes a dedicated desk and view of the tidal pond.
1 Full bathroom in main cottage with large walk-in shower.
Outdoor shower. Fenced yard. Wifi. Noise makers. Memory foam mattress pads. Well stocked kitchen. Fire pit. Room darkening curtains. We have been waiting to find a perfect peaceful river getaway for our family, we were lucky to find this gem & we want to share it with you! Morattico is the sweetest little village filled with friendly neighbors & an amazing waterfront museum. Walk across the street to our shared river porch, fish in the Rappahannock River or walk down the road to a shared beach and pier access where you can kayak and swim in Lancaster Creek.
If you want to get away from it all and relax near the water, this is the place!

The cottage was so beautiful! Warm & inviting, the decor was well put together with love and care.
Shelly thought of everything, we needed for nothing. I forgot my shampoo, and she had a wonderful selection of shampoo, conditioner, & body wash for us to choose from, it was the good stuff too, ha! Plenty of towels, blankets, & linens. The bed was literally heaven, it felt like I was sleeping on a cloud, ha.
The kitchen was fully stocked, there was even ziplock bags etc… a coffee bar with coffee pods, sugar, tea & hot cocoa… everything you needed to make s’mores, & popcorn, ha! All you need is to bring yourself & any food you will want to eat.
The TV has Roku, so you can watch movies…
Shelly was great at communicating, easy to get ahold of, very helpful & easy going. It was the dead of winter, so we weren’t able to really use the outside, but it didn’t matter. We still had a wonderful time! We want to come back! Can’t wait.
Thank you Shelly for giving us a place away from the chaos of life. Giving us a peaceful time together for our Valentine getaway. ❤️

Sherry, our host, was great and very communicative. The place is lovely with beautiful views. There was plenty of wood for the fire pit, lots of space and gorgeous bathroom. We brought our two dogs and they had a great stay also.
