Our family is the adults stayed at Sailors Rest Labor day week and enjoyed all that the property offered. The bikes, kayaks, fire pit, pool table and dock were well used by us. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed. The beds were comfortable as well as the main living area. The house was clean and decorated so cute! We would have liked to kayak more, but the wind on the bay didn't cooperate this week. I wouldn't recommend swimming off the dock but it wasn't deeper than 4 ft in the water. Overall a great relaxing, quiet week.

We had a great trip. The house is very spacious with great views of the creek. The house is decorated beautifully! The kitchen is spacious. It has a huge living room with lots of windows. One day was too cold to do much outside, so we enjoyed playing pool in the game room. Another day was beautiful so we took the canoe for a long paddle. My son and I took a bike ride through the nearby neighborhoods. Kilmarnock is an easy 15 minute drive away for grocery shopping, take-out, or anything you might need. We also picked up dinner in Reedville at the seafood restaurant at the tip.No negatives. I would recommend highly. Great place to just relax, or use as a base for exploring the area. It stands on its own, but if you are considering a fishing trip with Captain Billy, this really would make it easy since his charter boat is right next door.
