Spacious waterfront family retreat. Dogs welcome!, 1-Level Home w/ Rec Room and Fenced Yard

two adults, one disabled, and one old dog - we loved staying here. Pawsandreflect is modernly designed house that feels very elegant. The owners really provided places for dogs to sleep and the enclosed backyard, since we only travel with our eleven year old staffy. Texting with the owner, dawn, was very pleasant. we helped bring in an amazon order for her, a delivered replacement oar. if it were warmer, we would have been outside more to enjoy the fire pit and kayak. we did grill one meal and my husband scrubbed one of the grills and made excellent chicken. the ramp at the front of the house really helps people who have a hard time with stairs. Lots of spaces even more than the 4 bedrooms that made the place feel even bigger that it is. very nice place. we plan on returning since we have some relatives near by. Very very nice!

Such a great, dog-friendly, beautiful place to stay!

Absolutely phenomenal time at this rental. It is SO difficult to find a good place that doesn't just allow dogs but is actively dog-friendly. We have two 45lb pups, one of whom is reactive so we need a fully fenced area for them to run around in. One of them also loves the water, so this is exactly what we were looking for. It was just the two of us and our dogs, so we felt a silly getting this big house with a separate rec area, but we are so glad we did. The house is beautiful and has obviously had a lot of care put into it. The location is stunning. It's so peaceful and quiet. The "pond" as they call it, essentially feels like you have your own private lake that connects to the river and then the Bay if you want. The little shore was a perfect little soft sandy stretch to easily get the watercraft in and out. We saw blue crab, lots of tiny fish, a heron across the way, and a pair of bald eagles while we were there. The bed was so comfy and I slept like a log since it was so quiet (normally I wear earplugs). The house is very well appointed with pantry stuffs - coffee, condiments, spices, lots of dishes and cookware. They left a goodie bag for us to make s'mores, which we took full advantage of. We had a bunch of old school video game tournaments and I got roundly beaten at pool several times. I legit have no complaints. I would buy this house in a heartbeat - and asked even though I *knew* there would be no way anyone would give up that property. Will return for sure.
