At Oyster Cove Getaway, you’ll enjoy easy, one-level living with sweeping views of Taylors Creek and the Corrotoman River—feeling tucked away and private, yet less than 4 miles from Kilmarnock.
Arriving by boat? Guests are welcome to tie up at our private pier. Water depth is approximately 3 feet at mean low tide, making it suitable for many powerboats and shallow-draft vessels. Due to the depth, the dock is not suitable for most sailboats or other deep-draft boats
Start your mornings with coffee on the private pier as the water stays calm and glassy—often with bald eagles soaring overhead. Spend your days kayaking or canoeing from your own dock, crabbing with the provided pot, casting a line, or simply relaxing by the water. A built-in ladder on the pier makes it easy to jump in and cool off on warm days.
As the sun sets, gather around the waterfront fire pit for quiet evenings under the stars—the perfect way to unwind after a day on the water.

We had a wonderful weekend visit to Oyster Cove Getaway. The property is perched atop a small hill overlooking Taylors Creek with easy access to the water. The house is comfortable and well equipped. While there were just 4 adults and 1 Labrador this visit, there are lots of extras that I know my grandkids would enjoy. (Game room with air hockey, foosball and PacMan as well as kayaks and a canoe for outdoor fun). Kristie is a wonderful host and was very responsive to any inquiry we had. We hope to visit again in the not too distant future!

We loved everything about our four night stay at Oyster Cove Getaway! The house was beautifully decorated, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. Having water views from the house and a private dock for crabbing, fishing, and kayaking were an added bonus. We also enjoyed exploring nearby Kilmarnock, Irvington, and White Stone (each town was about 10 minutes away or less). The local seafood was a treat and the shops couldn’t be cuter! Lastly, it was a pleasure communicating with Kristie - she was very responsive and helpful throughout the booking process. We highly recommend if you’re looking for a great spot to relax with family or friends!

A perfect few days to relax and enjoy beautiful weather riverside. Wild animals, birds, hiking, touring, good food and the perfect place to stay. Kristie was a great communicator and the home was lovely, just like the pictures. More room than the 2 of us needed but we enjoyed our time, especially sitting on the patio and taking in the view.
