Luxury Oasis Penthouse in Florence Center

Great apartment. And while not the best location, it was fine. We needed an additional night in Firenze because of a flight cancellation, and the place we were staying was not available for an additional night (thank goodness!…it was TERRIBLE). My wife and I are seasoned EU travelers, and I feel that I have enough experience to evaluate properties. I’ve been traveling to European destinations for over 30 years, mostly on business and staying in hotels, yet often extending my stay and choosing AirBnB or VRBO. Luxury Oasis was a welcome relief from the place where we spent 3 awful nights. Here’s our experience beginning with contacting our Luxury Oasis host. We had to check out of our earlier place before 1000, but Luxury Oasis was booked, and the check in time was 2…maybe 3PM. The host was very gracious and said that we could leave our luggage outside the door, and that the housekeeping person would take it inside and he would WhatsApp me when it was ready. We found the location, but stepped into the wrong elevator. Using WhatsApp video calling, our host was able to literally walk us to the correct elevator, and get us to the correct hallway/door of our rental. He assured us that the entire area was owned by him, and that our luggage would be safe for the 20 minutes it would take for housekeeping to arrive. We are very familiar with Firenze, and we walked to a nearby Irish Pub for lunch while waiting for a call or text to get into the apartment. The apartment is BEAUTIFUL. Clean. Modern. Open. Huge bathrooms and showers, and even the mirrors are both lighted and HEATED to prevent condensation after showering. Wow. The TV’s were set up perfectly for streaming nerds. Just about every streaming channel was available and it was easy to sign in to Netflix/Prime/HBO Max, etc. We were able to watch US News channels live without issue. The kitchen was so very nice. A full refrigerator/freezer. Larger than most EU models. Book it. You’ll love it.

Really…nothing. I will say that the guest bath shower needs to have the drain looked at, because it didn’t drain as it should. Even a 2 minute shower produced a centimeter of water on the floor. NOT a big deal, just something the host needs to know. The only other minute maintenance issue is that one of the metal black-out screens would not raise. If standing with your right shoulder to the refrigerator, it’s the center door that would not raise. I’m sure the host will fix both issues, and I would happily stay again, even with those two minute issues.

It is decorated to a high standard, even better thank the photos show. It is in a good location about 10 mins from the main train station.

When we visited it was extremely hot in Florence and the air con in the property wasn’t working properly, this may have been due to the power cuts in the city during our stay. The swimming pool is not in the building but located at a nearby hotel for an additional fee.

I appreciated that the air conditioning was on when we arrived.

There was no dryer. The centrifuga did not fully dry clothes and We could not open the blinds to access the balcony and air dry our clothes outside.

We especially appreciated the host and their excellent communication. Anytime we had a question, they responded promptly, even before we arrived, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. The apartment itself was wonderful. Since we visited during a particularly warm period in Florence, with temperatures reaching the mid-90s, we were somewhat concerned about staying comfortable. Fortunately, the air conditioning worked exceptionally well and kept the apartment cool throughout our stay. The location was also very convenient. We arrived on a Sunday, so many businesses in the immediate neighborhood were closed, but by Monday everything had reopened and was easily accessible. On our last evening, we enjoyed taking a walk from the apartment down to the river area. We particularly liked having the streetcar/tram stop within about a five-minute walk. It made getting to the city center and other shopping areas very easy, especially when we were searching for an extra piece of luggage. The accommodations were clean, tidy, and very comfortable for our two-night stay. The instructions for accessing the property, including all entry codes, were thorough and easy to follow. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property to others. Our family of four found it to be a great home base for exploring Florence.
