Dwarsvlei Venue - Camping & Stables

The farm was beautiful. Novel idea, very unique..Pool very refreshing.

There was a rat in the room. Lighting not sufficient. Room very hot due to no open windows. Could hear snoring the whole night from the guests on either side. No specific mention of no crockery or cutlery or fridge in the common area. À0

The camping idea in a proper used stable, the beautiful farm with the pretty trees and small antelopes. It is value for money because you don't need more for just a stop over. The bathroom facility was clean.

The thin walls between the rooms.

It was a memorable and authentic experience: To stay on a working farm in the Karoo in stables previously occupied by houses. Peace and quiet. Down to earth.

We seem to be some of the first guests and hopefully the host can address some of the issues below.. I give the highest score, but I just want people to be aware of what can happen: It's a fair drive from the public road. The farm gates can be tricky. There were not enough blankets, but luckily I brought my sleeping bag. There are lights in the room, but they shine from the side and not the ceiling. The only way to keep the door closed is by latching it. And latching it takes a little bit of effort. Then people on the other side can't open it. And there's no lock.

No breakfast; slept in the stables. Unique experience

Other people staying there were quite noisy and the boma fire they made, made the whole room smell like smoke.
