Nagenoeg

The name of the house is perfect! Even though Nieu-Bethesda is not a large town by any stretch of the imagination, this house is in the middle of where you want to be and is Nagenoeg aan alles. It is a typical old Karoo home with spacious rooms and a kitchen divided into 3 areas - a scullery, a pantry and another room with a table for prep, eating and long chats. The sitting room has a fireplace, soft lighting and comfortable chairs for lounging and more chats. There are 2 modern bathrooms - one with a shower and the other with a bath. The water was nice and hot and enough for everybody. Electric blankets on the beds for the really cold winter nights and enough electrical outlets for charging everything are more positives. There is a large backyard with different nooks and crannies to explore and enjoy a peaceful drink.

The curtains of the windows looking out over the street could not close. We made a plan with washing pegs, so we managed.

Location was excellent! The electric blankets were STUNNING as the house is really, really cold. The house is spacious.

The one bathroom had a really bad smell for the entire duration of our stay - something in the toilet needs looking at

The information received indicated that the house could be shared with other guests - and there is only one bathroom. This instructions was not clear and likely we were the only ones staying there. On booking it looked that i booked the house but the feedback indicated that we booked a room. This is confusing and should be cleared.
