The Hollow, Fisherstown, County Laois

The area is lovely and very friendly. The place looked small when we arrived but we found we had more than enough room. The outside area is secure for dogs and the seating area felt like our own beer garden. The pub across the road is fantastic and incredibly welcoming. I was concerned about noise from the pub at night time but the cottage is very well soundproofed and we never really noticed it. There are excellent dog walks by the canal and a very friendly dog sitting neighbour who helped us attend a wedding. The big towns are within easy reach.

Very little to complain about. The wet room floor can get a bit flooded but we bought a mop and managed it easily enough. It was a very warm day when we arrived but the windows had been opened and we brought a fan with us so, again, it wasn't really a problem.

House is a gem.simple and beautiful cosy.everything you need is in it . Tea coffee toaster biscuits supplied.great location across from garden/pub.kids had great time feeding donkeys

A stop gap en route south, but this stay was a highlight of our trip. It was just the perfect set up for us, it had everything you could need and more. From the welcoming touches, to the lib scores the road. We couldn’t fault it. We will be coming back!

Toilet seat of the cheapest quality and not fitted properly. Parking on the road, not private. No Television or radio Entry from the road to the front door via a steep gravel path, not suitable for older people.
