A very comfortable apartment on a farm in the village with handy supermarket nearby. Well equipped modern kitchen and wet room , and cosy bedroom. Immaculately clean. The Stanley Stove was a lovely feature and kept the apartment very warm.
Friendly and generous hosts who live next door. Travelling alone, I felt very secure here.
The M9 motorway has very little traffic and provides easy access to lots of interesting places nearby including the lovely River Barrow.

Nestled in a farm court yard opposite the church of Ireland in the tiny village of OldLeighlin on the Carlow Kilkenny border. Easy to find & ideal for touring around Carlow & Kilkenny. The midlands has lots to offer on its doorstep. The small but perfectly adequate fam house is attached to the working farm with parking in a secure yard. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with 2 double beds. Bathroom has a disabled accessible shower. Our host Olive was there to meet us and talk us through house facilities and local attractions. I had my rescue dog Charlie with me and there were places close at hand to walk him.

It has an amazing history, the farm & bar have been operated continuously by the Carey family for 500 years ! An incredible story
