Charming Coastal Cottages by Portsalon Beach

It was so spacious, plenty of room for everyone to relax and chill. Beds were very comfortale. We could bring the dog which was one of the reasons we booked this house.

Steep sloop driveway needs to be flattened, extremely bumpy driving in and out. A throw in the sunroom which was covering a large sofa was covered in black dog hairs. The heating did not work, owner did try to sort it but it was a bank holiday weekend so couldn't get anyone to fix it, it wasn't freezing cold, a bit of a chill in the evening, just would have liked to have been a bit more comfortable as some feel the cold more than others so half an hour would have sorted that, owner did offer a refund in fairness.

Handy location, beautiful cottages and all the facilities you might have at home plus a playroom for kids. Clean, cosy and like a home away from home. Communication was great with the hosts, touching base the day before to ensure we knew where we were going and provide all the details we needed for when we got there. Would definitely recommend!

The floors where not clean. The furniture is old and stained. The rec room had no electricity and was dark and dirty. When we tried to use the toaster all the electrics blew. No one on site to assist. Had to locate electric fuse box get a chair and re set the trip ourselves. Upon arrival the house we were allocated had a family already staying in it. Re-located to another after a short wait but after a 4 hour drive this is the last thing you expect! The drive up to the property was dangerous with the car wheels spinning to get a grip resulting in car getting stuck and stones chipping car paintwork!

Lovely location and plenty of space in the house

The house was not throughly cleaned, there was animal hair all over the downstairs living areas and kitchen. No extra towels, tea towels or bed clothes. The playroom is attached to a derelict building and there is no power.
