Heritage House in Lofoten with Modern Comfort & Scenic Views

Lovely location, view and heritage feel. The hosts were really kind.

The house is in a quiet and peaceful location and was easy to find. Although the interior and furnishings are somewhat traditional and dated, everything was very clean and well maintained. The view is definitely one of the highlights. Both the living room and dining table face directly towards the sea, so we could enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery while relaxing or having meals. The peaceful surroundings also made the house feel very pleasant after a day of exploring Lofoten. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. Communication was easy, replies were prompt, and they were always willing to help whenever we had a question or request. The kitchen also came with some basic seasonings, which was useful for cooking.

There are several practical limitations worth knowing in advance. There is no EV charger at the property, which is somewhat inconvenient when travelling around Lofoten with an electric car. As this is an older traditional house, some of the ceilings are quite low, so taller guests need to be careful not to bump their heads. The staircase to the second floor is also very steep and needs to be used carefully, particularly when carrying luggage. There is only one toilet for the entire house, and it is located downstairs, which can be inconvenient at night if you are staying in one of the upstairs bedrooms. There is a washing machine but no dryer, so clothes need to be air-dried. The kitchen is functional and basic seasonings are provided, but the range of cookware and utensils is somewhat limited compared with some other self-catering accommodations.

La casa dei miei sogni, bella ,accogliente, arredata con gusto , dotata di tutto il necessario in una ottima posizione in una parola una bomboniera. L’host molto disponibile per ogni necessità, la sera del nostro arrivo ci ha portato un bottiglia di prosecco , accortezza molto apprezzata. Sicuramente consiglio un soggiorno in questa stupenda casa.
