We loved our stay here. It is a nicely renovated traditional fishing cabin. The host was there to greet us, show us around, and answer questions. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for making meals. The washing machine was also a great help. The beds were small but very comfortable. We felt right at home. This is also a great location to easily access almost anywhere in Lofoten.

Lovely Rorbu in Ballstad!

We had a fantastic stay here, a classic Rorbu experience. Great hosts, great communication, a lovely place to stay for a few days with comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen that packed a lot of functionality into a relatively small space. We enjoyed cooking our evening meals there. We had a direct view of the harbor, easy access to hikes, easy access to grocery stores. We enjoyed the wood burning stove, too! My son loved sleeping in the Rorbu loft, too!

Beautiful, cozy home that was SO comfortable for our weeklong stay. The kitchen was excellent with everything we needed to prepare meals at home, comfy beds, comfy couch, responsive hosts, and fantastic location close to great hiking and a very nice sauna nearby!

Could use blackout curtains for during midnight sun! Had an eye mask though, which was fine.

Superb

The rorbuer is very cozy, well equipped, spacious and warm. The floor heating is a plus in the winter time. And you can stay around the fireplace when outside is snowing. Fantastic. Towels and bath soap. All great. And quick communication with the owner.

The location is probably the only weak point of this rorbuer. There is not a great view from the windows.

We appreciated the coziness of the rorbu as well as the openness of the hosts. From recommendations of things to do, places to eat and sights to see off-season, to all kinds of suggestions, Hege and Steinar were happy to help. We travelled with 2 kids (5 and 13 years old) and we found a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room with a lovely stove and some bedrooms with bunk beds. Everything was at least as we expected.

The host is very nice, responsive, and helpful. She reached out to us to make sure everything was ok during our stay (three nights). The whole house is very clean and spatial (just two of us). The kitchen literally has everything you need to cook a nice meal and all you need is to bring your own foods.

Great spacious accommodation with very friendly hosts

Everything was perfect! The Rorbuer is quite spacious for two people and provides a lot of extra rooms and sleeping space. You got everything you need, you can even use a little rowing boat with provided lifevests. The hosts are very friendly and respond very fast, every question we had was clarified in no time. Regarding your activities: a hiking route for "your" house mountain is starting down the next street. The harbour areas invite for additional walks. A bigger shopping centre can be found on the way to Leknes or in Leknes. Overall, fantastic stay on our trip, we will definitely recommend it!

Perfect location in Ballstad! Highly recommended.

roomy Rorbu at a wonderful location! The house is fully equipped with everything (I mean: everything!) you will need. Especially the kitchen is perfect. Living room is comfy with a lot of space and comfortably illumination. There are 3 bedrooms, one on ground floor and two on upper floor and some open space on upper (half) floor as well. All rooms are euipped with underfloor heating. TV and WiFi are available as well as books and board games, even a lot of movies on DVD. The host is super-friendly and helpful. Key collection on arrival was as easy as it can be. There enough parkings space right in front of the house and a 10 seconds walk to the old harbour front. It´s also a good starting place for short hikes to the outer ends of the peninsula.

beds are a little(!) smelly, could be replaced. No supermarket within easy walking distance (approx. 3-4km). No problem for me.

Hege is very nice host, she arrived to us with keys and showed us everything in the house. We were a group of 11 friends and we had enough space in bedrooms and livingroom too. The house stands in a nice location in a port, just a few steps from a hill with a nice view. Ideal starting point for a stay in Lofoten, 10 minutes to Leknes, 70 minutes to Å. We loved the house and we hope, that we could come again one day.

Sublime séjour.

Facilité de contact avec la propriétaire, dont les instructions étaient très claires. Très belle cabane située au milieu d'un port où l'on peut suivre les activités. Rénovée avec goût, elle présente de belles pièces (séjour et cuisine(, une salle de bain confortable avec machine à laver et d'agréables chambres à coucher dont l'une au rez-de-chaussée. Place de stationnement à proximité.

Le revêtement du sol devant l'entrée est peu pratique notamment lorsqu'il pleut. Eventuellement prévoir un plus grand tapis absorbant à l'entrée.

Abbiamo appena trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso in questo appartamento che posso definire solo come perfetto sotto ogni aspetto! Dal momento in cui siamo entrati, ci siamo sentiti immediatamente a casa. L'atmosfera calda e accogliente pervade ogni angolo di questo spazio così ben curato. Ogni dettaglio è stato pensato per garantire il massimo comfort agli ospiti. La cucina è completamente attrezzata con tutti gli utensili necessari per preparare qualsiasi pasto - non manca davvero nulla! Abbiamo trovato tutto ciò di cui avevamo bisogno, rendendo la preparazione dei pasti un vero piacere anziché un compito. Per chi viaggia con bambini, questo appartamento è un vero tesoro! Sono stati messi a disposizione diversi giochi che hanno intrattenuto i più piccoli, permettendo agli adulti di rilassarsi. Un pensiero davvero apprezzato che dimostra l'attenzione dei proprietari verso le famiglie. I letti meritano una menzione speciale: sono COMODISSIMI! Dopo giornate intense di esplorazioni, abbiamo dormito come neonati, svegliandoci completamente rigenerati e pronti per nuove avventure. L'intero ambiente è estremamente "cozy" - quella sensazione di calore e intimità che rende un soggiorno indimenticabile. Ogni angolo invita al relax e al benessere. In conclusione, non possiamo che consigliare vivamente questo appartamento a chiunque cerchi una sistemazione che superi le aspettative. È stato tutto semplicemente bellissimo e non vediamo l'ora di tornarci! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 stelle, senza alcun dubbio!

Fantastico e accogliente rorbu

Fantastico rorbu! Accogliente, mantiene le caratteristiche dei rorbuer tradizionali, ti fa sentire a casa.. luci, coperte, cuscini, stufa creano un ambiente davvero piacevole. Cucina super attrezzata (forno, lavastoviglie, bollitore, tostapane, microonde, piatti, pentole e gli essenziali per cucinare come sale e olio, caffe). Soppalco con letti aggiuntivi, uno spazio che mio figlio ha adorato. Le camere sono al primo piano con scale; letti e cuscini molto comodi. Posizione e vista molto belli sul porto Ballstad, cittadina a vocazione più peschereccia che turistica. Alloggio e atmosfera autentici. Io ero con mio figlio di 11 anni ma l'appartamento è adatto anche a famiglie o gruppi più numerosi. Proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile, ha avuto la premura di avvisarci dell'arrivo di una forte perturbazione inviandoci gli avvisi sulle informazioni sulla circolazione stradale. Nel complesso questo alloggio è stato davvero un valore aggiunto al nostro viaggio e ci piacerebbe molto tornare in futuro.
