Comfortable and enjoyable stay in Sjøstrand Rorbuer.

We really enjoyed our stay at your accommodation. The room was very clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have free car parking. The location was also very convenient for us.

Beautiful and cozy cabin

The location is beautiful , it's a wooden cottage in front of the ocean .The kitchen had all the amenities needed to make a full meal . The living area is comfortable and we had breakfast with the view of the ocean which was so nice. We even witnessed aurora in front of the cabin which was truly amazing

The property was very cozy, everything we needed was there. Also, there was a possibility to reserve sauna, which was a pleasure. Owners were very extremely kind and helpful.

Nothing, everything was good! The only thing which could be improved is the access to the water to jump in after the sauna, I tried to use the ladder to access the water but could not make it - maybe it is not suitable for that (did not clarified that with owners prior to using the sauna). But overall this did not affect the whole stay which we enjoyed a lot.

Authentic experience

Cute authentic fisherman cabins with everything you need. When we asked the hosts for additional cooking ware which they provided us with without a problem. 20 mmm walk from Ballstad centrum and from the hike to Nonstinden. We also used the sauna which was very nice.

A total rip-off! Not worth it

The setup of this place is extremely uncomfortable. The bed is placed literally in the kitchen, a tiny, unventilated space with no extractor fan, so you’re forced to sleep with the smell of everything that’s been cooked. There’s barely any space to wash dishes or even move around. It’s suffocating. The sleeping arrangements are absurd: bunk beds that require mountaineering skills to climb, and another bed placed in the hallway leading to the bathroom, meaning whoever sleeps there is right next to where everyone goes to the toilet. On top of that, the beds aren’t even made when you arrive; you have to do it yourself. The whole flat is worn-out, the furniture is old, and everything feels neglected. It’s falsely advertised as a budget option, but it costs nearly 200 euros per night in July, outrageous for such a terrible setup. To make it worse, you’re charged extra to use the shared washing machine. If you don’t want to clean the place yourself before leaving, they charge 50 to 70 euros for “cleaning” a space the size of a shoebox. To sum up: the space is cramped, poorly ventilated, and not worth the high price. It feels neglected and far from what’s advertised. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t recommend it.

It was basic but it has all the things I need. Good price and a great location.

It's a nice location very quiet except for a few cars passing but very rare. You can’t hear it from the inside.You a nice direct view of the fjord from your window.

It's not really that clean. It has a ‘clean as you go’ policy which is fine, but I hope if the previous user did not clean they have to make sure that it is clean for the new clients.

Charming and comfortable

Simple and comfortable cabin with everything we needed to cook a meal, hang out, and enjoy the area. The loft in the cabin was cute. Host was welcoming and helpful, providing recommendations for Ballstad. A little different than a hotel room- just tidy up the cabin before departing.

Were two nights.., become one

We decide to cancel one night (we booked 2, before) and the chief decided to return me 80% of the paymant (for that night) even if booking didn't permit me to delete the reservation

Everything is down to the bare minimum. we found out that we had to make our own bed and there were not shower gel/shampoo provided. We stay at 4 different places in Lofoten. This was the most expensive one but of least quality.

A lovely yet underated location! We slept in 2 very big and well furnished houses (chalets). Comfortable beds and very clean bathroom. Thenview was stunning! My friends and I really enjoyed stayng here.

Clean, big room but old fashioned furnished, back to the 70ties! Good kitchen facilities. Good for a family, not a couple. Very nice and helpful personnel.

Only bunker beds in the room. Location outside of Ballstad. It's mainly a camping spot with many caravans.

Cabine typique très cosy

Cabine vraiment très cosy, même mieux que sur les photos. Le lit est plutôt confortable, la salle de bain est grande, la cuisine ouverte agréable, le salon cosy (avec une radio qui est très sympa pour écouter de la musique le soir), l'arrivée est simple grace à une boite à clés avec un code. Tous les matins quelqu'un venait déneiger devant les cabines et l'accès à la route ce qui était super car il neigeait toutes les nuits. La cuisine manque un tout petit peu d'équipement (pas de passoire par exemple) mais on arrive à se débrouiller. Attention, contrairement à ce qui était indiqué sur l'annonce, le sauna n'est pas accessible pour ce logement, ce qui est un peu dommage.

Rorbuer plus que cottage, bien situé près du port de pêche, arrivée et départ très simple, accès très bien indiqué le logement est bien équipé , bel endroit pour partir à la découverte des Lofoten Sud

Presenza di un comodo parcheggio vicino all'alloggio. Zona tranquilla con vista sul porto. Personale disponibile. Spazi adeguati per trascorrere qualche notte.

Cucina spoglia, dotata solo di stoviglie essenziali. Lavello con tubatura sporca. Letto con presenza di capelli e peli vari. Divano sporco e quindi poco utilizzabile. Scarico della doccia lento. Sostanzialmente la struttura è un bungalow.
