This is the perfec for accommodation for relaxing and enjoying Ballstad and the surrounding areas of the Lofoten Islands

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Modern Fisherman’s Cabin. What a lovely, modern, sparkling clean apartment with beautiful waterfront views overlooking the harbour, rorbuers and nearby peaks. The apartment is spacious, very quiet, beds really comfy and it’s equipped with everything you need to relax, cook and wash your clothes if needed. There’s a small supermarket in the little village or a larger option just five minutes away. Lars is friendly and easy to communicate with and responds immediately if you have any questions. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending The Modern Fisherman’s Cabin and would definitely choose to stay there again myself.

Fantastic Stay in the Lofotens

This was one of the best stays we’ve had anywhere. The apartment was spacious, well appointed, well stocked and perfectly clean. Having the washing machine was critical for us, and it worked well. We almost never even turn on the TV when on vacation, but couldn’t resist watching the beautiful, giant one here. The location worked well for seeing the islands - it’s quite central. We were wondering if Ballstad was too far off the main road, but it was a simple trip on a good road to get back out there, and having lots of nearby groceries was a bonus.

Amazing! The cabin is perfect. It may say cabin in the description but the apartment is huge and luxurious. Comes with everything you need and all the extras you’d wish in a holiday, inc a complete kitchen, washer. They also have a space to hung dry your clothes so it is just perfect. But the views tops it all up. The cabin is right in front of the dock with full views of the water and the mountains. It is very serene and all you can hear are just the birds and nature. As per the location it was also so convenient, right in the middle of Lofoten Islands so you can make this as tour base and drive to either ends in just 1hr. If there’s anything I could change, I wished we stayed longer.. but maybe next time and hopefully soon.

Phenomenal Stay

Loved the location in Ballstad, property right on the water. Everything was very clean, modern, with high quality kitchenware. Host was incredibly responsive, professional, and friendly. Will be back!

Definitely would recommend adding closets/wardrobes in the rooms, given there's no storage to empty your luggage if you're staying for a week.

The apartment is located close to the sea. The funiture and bathroom equipment in it is great, you can enjoy.

There are four apartments in this building, it is little hard to find the key box. I spent several minutes to get the key. Recommend more clear instruction for the key box.

Very nice place

Very high-level and beautiful place, with nice views. It was easy to come to the accommodation with clear instructions from the owner. Also very quiet place, which we like. All the utensils in the kitchen were brand new, so it was nice to cook food there. Would definately come again! Great place to do daytrips to Haukland, Uttakleiv, Offersøykammen hike. Also grocery stores not so far away.

Very hot and thick blankets at bedroom, would be nice to have thinner at summer (or placing thinner blankets as an option), would also be nice to have curtains/blinders at living room for privacy and if the sun is shining in low level.

Nous avons passé 2 jours parfaits dans cet appartement ultra moderne et très bien équipé. La vue est magnifique et bien que le check in / check out se fasse de façon autonome (nous sommes hors saison) Lars a été présent par message pour chacune de nos demandes.
