Ciao Bologna Collection - San Martino

My spouse and I (we live in Tuscany) thought the room decor, size and location outstanding. Very quiet building which was a plus and very little noise from the street off the Piazza San Martino. Extremely clean and we appreciated two glass carafes filled with filtered water to quench our thirst during these very hot days. For any questions, the host was reachable via Whatsapp and ready to offer an answer. We particularly liked the view from the very tall windows of the round church window across the way.

There was some perplexity with the door situation -- you need to unlock 4 doors, two with codes before you reach your room . Once we understood how it all works using our cell phones, it was easy to come and go as we pleased. The only little hiccup is not actually having a person there to welcome you, show you any quirks and answer any questions to make you feel more comfortable. These days, travel has become so impersonal, the only thing missing was dealing with a real, live person which is the very definition of Italian hospitality. Having said that, our stay was very pleasant, the room comfortable and again, outstanding location with all you need, including a good grocery store, outside your door. And yes, we would recommend to the independent traveller seeking a lovely place to stay in Bologna's historic center.

Het was gelegen op een toplocatie, Wanneer je de deur uit stapt, sta je tussen een paar terrasjes. En het Piazza Maggiore ligt op maximaal 10 minuten lopen.

Beautiful accommodations, spacious, well located.

Took a little bit of getting used to to get into the apartment. But that settled out quickly.

O atendimento é completamente robotizado. Ninguém entra em contato sequer por mensagem, e o mesmo acontece em relação ao acesso. Para abrir as três entradas de acesso ao quarto você precisa de um celular conectado à internet. Se por alguma razão seu celular ficar sem bateria durante os passeios pela cidade, não tem como entrar de volta na hospedagem! Não é sequer funcionários, porteiro, ou alguém a quem recorrer caso isso aconteça. Deveria ser fornecido um cartão eletrônico de acesso, porque ficar sem bateria no celular é algo que pode acontecer. Além disso, o quarto é mal iluminado e a cama de casal extremamente pequena.
