Marsala Central Room

This property has an excellent location in a lively area as a solo woman traveler it was important to feel safe. And also I was able to get quickly to the trainstation when needed. The bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is well equipped. I also liked the mini fridge and coffeemaker in the room. Happy about the small balcony too.

Not much to complain about really

The room is very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and there was a lovely tv (that worked for a second and then never again!). The location is excellent and close to a few restaurants, cafes and bars etc. Rooms are super clean and have a coffee machine (with pods) and a kettle. Information was sent promptly with how to open the doors and etc.

I think it’s important to note that Maria no longer is the owner and the pictures that show up first when you book are not accurate (maybe my fault for not doing “most recent” filter). There is no welcome (which is fine as it’s all contactless), no cookies and no water provided. The foyer/kitchen and lounge area has places to sit but also serves as a storage area for lots of flat packs boxes and shelves. I hope that they sort the renovation out quickly as it really is a lovely place to stay in Bologna. The other thing to note is that there is only one small bin in the bathroom. No bin in the main room, which was a little annoying.

The common room table is convenient for organizing our stuff. The bedroom is too small to do anything.

The breakfast is not provided as described. Each day, we received a 20 Euro credit for Piano Piano Bar, which is very far and inconvenient. I think your ad is misleading in that it says breakfast is included. The guests need to go up one story to reach the apartment. It was difficult for us because we had very heavy bags. The check-in process was tedious, and we couldn't process the additional payment for local taxes. As a result, it was not completed for the digital key entrance. The concierge opened the doors for us remotely, but it was very stressful, to say the least. We asked the concierge to help us reserve a taxi to the train station, but we never received any assistance. We ended up calling Uber ourselves. We didn't hear from the concierge until we were on the train.
