Convenient location, plenty of space in the room
Decor is quite tired, floors weren’t very clean (bathroom floor had talc on it & around edges of bed weren’t clean) only one small bin in bathroom so had to use that for tea bags etc.
The accommodation is next door to a lovely looking pub which is closed & currently being renovated so there were more than a few builders milling about from very early in the morning (just in case anyone is booking a solo stay).
Price a little high for what you actually get at the current time.

Having stayed here before on several occasions we were pleased when we found out that some of the accommodation was open again. Abergavenny and the surrounding area had sadly experienced some bad flooding the day before and we weren’t sure if would be able to stay with our little Grandaughter. The owners worked hard to ensure the car park was cleared of water so that we could enjoy our stay, thank you. We are looking forward to when the whole establishment is open. The hotel is within walking distance of the town or you can easily drive and park in one of the many car parks. We had a very nice meal in the hotel’s sister hotel in Abergavenny town and we were lucky enough to watch the Christmas lights being switched on

The rooms clean and new
The hotel was closed for refurbishment and we weren’t told about this when booking. So there were no facilities and no staff available for enquiries, just a phone number. There was a room above, and early in the morning someone was walking around in that room, there is no sound proofing and it felt they were going to fall through the ceiling. Very noisy and unsettling as there was no one on sight.
