Great if you want to be near all the action

Stayed here several times this year, it is just off the centre of town which is a great location. Breakfast as usual was excellent, I had the full English again on both days. Staff again were polite & friendly & always ready to help

I was near the main entrance which was noisy due to people drinking outside, some guests were also inconsiderate when going to their rooms as singing as you go past other rooms doesn't help those trying to sleep

Best place to stay in Y Fenni

Lovely room, very comfy bed, warm friendly bar, excellent breakfast, helpful staff, loved the meandering corridors and wonky floors. Would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing short break.

One tiny flaw, no kitchen on Monday and Tuesday night, and those were the days we stayed. Would have loved to have tried your evening menu. We were pre-warned though, and managed to find food elsewhere.

All good !

Breakfast was excellent preordered and cooked for each person Situation was great right in the town. Car parking not a problem. Room very warm and comfortable great shower. Nice view from the room. Real coffee available in the room with a cafetière.

Arrived back at 11.15 to find hotel locked. After a concert and a late meal. Man appeared in a couple of minutes after we phoned. It was our fault for not leaving our key at reception!

Good location, friendly staff.

Room was cold, no heating until requested. I stayed in November so given the price per night you’d expect it to be on. Horrendous noise both Friday and Saturday night due to functions. Had been made aware but the email stated we would not be able to hear the music etc as in a separate building.., we may as well had been at the parties! Had a 7.30am start the next day so got very little sleep.

Fantastic and very helpful staff from the get go, great location and probably one of the best places in town for dinner so would recommend that if staying.

Lovely breakfast, I had a full English though there was plenty of variety on offer. washed down with fresh orange juice & filter coffee

Some guests were a bit noisy, kids especially letting bedroom doors slam instead of closing them & shouting. Pity the parents didn't have a bit more consideration for other guests Glad I took my earplugs. Overall no other complaints & it was only the 1 night I heard them

Disappointed

Excellent location and 99% of staff - lovely atmosphere. Lovely bar, music, and drinks. Breakfast was tasty, hot, and freshly prepared - really delicious.

Lovely room, we enjoyed our stay in the main but the 'suite' was smaller than photos suggest. Very restricted getting in & out of bed with beams (yes, we knew they were there!! But they were a lot closer than the photos suggested). Trailing wires weren't attractive for such a traditional room. Room wasn't as clean as I would have liked, dusty as well - very smelly bathroom (drains we thought) and awful access stairs. 1 member of staff rude & unhelpful.

room was large and comfortable - only one comment that the bin men come early on Wednesday mornings - but that is no one's. fault. The staff were exceptionally helpful - offered to carry my bag without being asked for example. Nothing was too much trouble. Sam deserves a shout out. Breakfast was fabulous, copious and many options including Gluten Free.

Classic old inn with modern facilities

The King's Arms is an old coaching inn, comfortably modernized. The ground floor is a pub, serving pub food. We liked the charm of the old building and narrow corridors. The building has been well modernized with all of the standard amenities. The restaurant menu was limited, but decent.

The restaurant was good, but not available on a Monday or Tuesday evening.

The tables on the pavement outside resulted in people chatting outside the rooms at the front of the hotel until late at night. Being an old historic building, the windows were not double/triple glazed.
