The owner was super responsive and helpful beforehand, and his son, who dropped off the keys and showed me around, was a lovely chap. The pub is a beautiful building, set in stunning and quiet countryside - such a wonderfully unique place to stay.
For the price paid, it's hard to find any negatives. Sure, a couple of things need a bit of love, but you more than get your moneys worth. No outdoor cooking facilities, but the owner was more than happy for us to bring our own bbq/pizza oven.
