Cosy 3-bedroom house, garden, fast wi-fi, 6 mins walk to Hull fair, 4 mins drive to MKM stadium perfect for Contractors, Families, HRI hospital locum staff and corporate guests

We liked the location and the provisions within the property. The sofa was lovely and comfortable, and the beds were fine too. The kitchen had a range of utensils and pans/baking trays so we were able to cook for our group with ease. The location is great and it's easy to get into town on the two bus routes that go past the front of the house. The hosts were friendly and helpful, messaging to check that we were okay and explaining the parking situation to us. Spacious and warm. The heating was good. The two double rooms and one twin room meant we had plenty of space for the four of us. The property was well decorated and looked after.

The curtains in some of the rooms aren't great at keeping out light, either not covering the full alcove or being practically see-through blinds.

Bedroom had fans in them.

The downstairs of the house had a strong smell of damp, predominantly coming from the kitchen area. Kitchen cupboards were absolutely filthy, the laminate flooring were disgusting (they wasn’t joining and you could tell they had damp underneath them, minuets before our arrival time the host decided to message us about a broken door in the kitchen that couldn’t be closed but when left open it instructed the fridge being opened, the toilet door had no lock and the catch for the door was stuffed with toilet roll to stop the door being closed because as we soon found out if the toilet door was closed you’d be trapped in as the door handle was broke leaving my 5 year old becoming trapped in there. There was paintwork that was peeling off in the front bedroom under the window, it could so with a freshen up through the whole house to be honest. Bedroom wasn’t as bad at the downstairs however not great. Plug socket in the kitchen was hanging off the wall, wasn’t very safe at all. The washing machines draw was full of mould leaving a bad smell coming from that too. We had to de-weed all the garden as it was that overgrown it covered the pathway to allow you to get into the garden, electrics wasn’t great and lights would flicker at a very dim brightness. When I booked this I looked at the reviews beforehand and I have no idea how they got ‘superb’ unless they have got family to give them reviews because for the money I paid for 1 night it was appalling. The only reason we stayed is because it was a 2 hours drive home and we had booked to see my brother otherwise I would have left straight away.
