Orchard Cottages at Gorton House

Lovely location, short drive (approx 25 mins to centre) to Edingburgh but in quiet peacful spot ideal for family visits. Everything we needed was supplied and we had a comfortable enjoyable stay. ( My son appreciated the goal and football in the garden!)

It was a lovely cottage had everything we needed. Stayed for 2 nights as were attending a wedding nearby. Lovely garden

The mattress on our bed was very hard. Just not what I’m used to

Good location easy to find.lovely surroundings, good weather , excellent enclosed orchard garden dogs loved it so did we, bit of a surprise so many apples, lol had a really good time, only comment was the kitchen lights only one bulb working. Great shower. Maybe come back another time.

Nice secluded area

On arrival, it was lucky I had a torch to see lock box, the cottage was absolutely freezing having to sit in jackets until going to Tescos to get a fan heater, no WI-FI unless stood in the middle of lawn, the drop from the patio doors is to large requires a further step both my partner and have arthritis and then from the car park needs illuminating to the door, don’t know if the beige spaniel was the owners but it had a poo and I had to clean it up and it shouldn’t be allowed to get in the individual lawned areas, con webs on lounge lights
