About this house rental
The historic coastal town of Carrickfergus is the perfect location from which to explore the east of Northern Ireland, being well connected by road and rail to the centre of Belfast, and by coast road to the famed Giants Causeway, Victorian Whitehead with its' railway museum and Blackhead path, and stunning Gobbins Coastal Path. Of course, we cannot forget what is right on the doorstep in Carrickfergus too!. The 12th century castle, and the 17th century town walls can both be seen from the front windows of our Victorian cottage style home! The town is also home to the 12th century church of St Nicholas, Carrickfergus Museum, a beautiful marina, the Andrew Jackson Cottage and US Rangers Museum, the medieval tower house of 'Dobbins', and a extensive seafront & promenade. There is no shortage of dining out experiences, the nearest being 'Ownies' a popular pub restaurant, just a few steps away - and shopping is also well catered for with the nearest big supermarket being 'Sainsburys', beside the castle, just a few minutes walk away.
