good room for someone who is not sensitive.
Bus stop right in front and a large supermarket nearby made it very convenient, and having access to the kitchen was great. While traveling, I was curious about what the layout of a typical local home would be like, and staying here gave me a good sense of that. Another large plus is that it’s possible to get a private room at this price in expensive Edinburgh.
The room is very cold. Although there is a window, cold air comes in so strongly that it felt almost pointless. I had to wear four layers of thin clothing plus a fur-lined outer jacket just to make it barely warm enough to sleep. Also, when large vehicles like buses pass by, you can feel the house shaking. This place would not be a good choice for light sleepers.

We were more concerned about easy access to Princes Street, It was one bus ride and about 10 mins
The location was perfect. A bus stop right outside that takes you right uptown. A small cafe and corner store just up the street. The room was big enough and didn’t mind the shared kitchen & bath. But I think most North Americans would find it small. We were there for a week and this was cheaper than hotel and we could make our own meals
At our age (70’s) we didn’t like the 3 flights of stairs each day. Not enough storage space in the bedroom. But we made it work.

A spotless, well-equipped stay with the perfect location
I had a great stay here. The place was very neat, clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed. The location is excellent, just in front of the bus stop that takes you to the Old Town within minutes. I really appreciated how tidy and well-maintained everything was. The apartment felt very organized, comfortable, and practical.
Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike.
