Lovely guest house. Extremely friendly hosts. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped, modern yet cozy. Breakfast is a treat - as are the many sweets which we received. There is a wide selection of drinks and wines available. Scalpay may be slightly off the beaten track but it is definitely worth a stay. And we would certainly recommend staying at Two Harbours Guest House. If you do stay here and are even slightly interested in gourmet experiences - make a reservation at North Harbour Bistro - a two minute walk from the guest house. The place looks very ordinary but the food is anything but!

Our stay at Two Harbours House was nothing short of exceptional—a true reflection of warm Hebridean hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed in the parking area by Iain, who immediately set the tone for our visit by helping carry in our luggage. As he showed us around the beautiful grounds and guest house, he shared stories about the garden, plants, and the care that has gone into creating such a peaceful retreat. We were introduced to the dining space, complete with thoughtful touches like shared treats and an honesty bar stocked with beer and wine. We were then personally shown to our room, with everything carefully explained—from practical details like charging outlets to the little comforts that make a stay special. Waiting for us was a lovely homemade lemon loaf baked by Elizabeth, a truly thoughtful welcome. Dinner that evening was outstanding—expertly prepared by Elizabeth and served by Iain with the attention and presentation you would expect from a five-star restaurant. The experience continued with tea and biscuits, making for a perfectly relaxing evening. We enjoyed a wonderful night’s sleep in a comfortable king-sized bed, followed by a refreshing morning with a powerful shower, warm towels, and cozy bathrobes. Breakfast was just as memorable: a generous and delicious spread including a full Scottish breakfast, cereals, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Elizabeth’s baking shone again with fresh muffins and cinnamon buns, all served with care by Iain. The house itself is beautifully decorated, showcasing local Skye art, including a Lewis chess set and a striking pictorial book of Scalpay on display. What truly set this stay apart, however, were the conversations we shared with Iain and Elizabeth. Learning about the history of the house—once hosting Bonnie Prince Charlie for four days—as well as their journey in restoring and nurturing it over the past 18 months, added a meaningful and personal dimension to our visit.

Breakfast and light bites in the evening were superb especially their home made pizzas. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and clean. Both owners were extremely helpful and provided special touches such as homemade cake etc.
There was nothing we didn't like about this guesthouse, it was exceptional.
