101 House At The End. Witchcraft & Wizardry House

We had a fantastic family stay here and would happily return. The house itself is unlike anywhere we've stayed before. Every room has clearly been handcrafted with so much imagination and attention to detail. It really does transport you away from everyday life into a magical, whimsical world. Whether you're a Harry Potter fan or simply appreciate unique places to stay, it's a wonderful experience. The location is also excellent. It's around a 25-minute walk into the centre of York, but it's an easy and enjoyable stroll with plenty of cafés, coffee shops and bars along the way, so the walk becomes part of the experience. What surprised us most, though, was just how peaceful it was. Each evening we sat in the courtyard garden and it was incredibly quiet—you could barely hear another person. At night I honestly slept better than I have in some countryside forest lodges. Despite being so close to York, it felt like a peaceful little retreat. A truly unique place to stay, full of character, charm and tranquillity. Highly recommended.

Perfect location for us. The house was exactly as described. Will be booking again.

The property is themed so attention to detail was great. The beds were so comfy & the four poster bed was beautiful. This created a magical stay for the grandchildren. Clean bedding & towels & tea & coffee were provided.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

Decoration a hit with the 2 youngsters in the party, especially the snug corner in the dining area and the general Harry Potter decoration and theme
