Village Verandah by Oshi

The location, remotely set some 5 minutes drive off the main road, is superb. Overlooking your very own rice paddy, with a small hideout and the natural sourrundings were just great. The staff was very nice, lunch, dinner and breakfast just perfect. We liked the overall "outside" concept, but you really have to like this open sleeping concept, we totally loved it, but have stayed in similar places like that before already. A perfect getaway for individualists who admire special places with the little "wow" effect

Everything was superb

I had an amazing stay! The place has such a peaceful vibe, surrounded by nature. The villa was clean and comfortable, and my favourite feature was the inner courtyard, which made me feel so connected to nature. The tree hut was the perfect nook for reading, and the staff even arranged one of our dinners there. We were also able to experience a well bath - such a one of a kind experience! The staff were incredibly attentive, always making sure everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and full of local flavours. Loved the soothing sound of birds in the morning. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dambulla who’s looking for a relaxing and authentic Sri Lankan experience.

Location, surroundings, view and nature all around. Also, the service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. Love the peace and quiet, as well as the little tree house in the paddy fields and the walk to the river bathing spot.

The open air bedroom concept is unique, and would be enjoyed by true nature/outdoor lovers. However, this may not be for everyone.
