That bloody door.

It was an interesting layout - very convenient for shops.

We struggled with the door.

Disappointed

The wrong address was provided, causing lots of confusion and stress. Eventually solved. The elecrtronic lock sometimes didn't work, had to call to source physical keys. More confusion and stress. Other points: Washing machine very smelly so we didn't use it. No tea towel or drying rack for washing-up Very warm bedrooms at night and only one fan provided. Very steep stairs and no upstairs toilet so not very convenient.

August stay

The apartment was situated in the perfect part of Rotterdam with a grocery shop just below (we never heard any noise from the shop while in the apartment), places to eat across the road, and a 15min walk from Rotterdam Centraal. There is a gorgeous smoothie shop on the corner! Staff were very helpful and provided us with fans when asked as the weather was very hot! Dishwasher tablets and a dish cloth were provided, along with towels. Google maps will take you across the street so make sure you go to the wooden door by the shop entrance to get into the apartment.

The apartment was a bit tired looking and there is no blind/frosting on the bathroom window which was a bit unnerving. Overall good value for money though, you get what you pay for.

Die Lage ist sehr gut, urban und zentral in einem lebhaften Viertel der Stadt.

Die Tür ging mit dem uns zugeschickten Code nicht auf. Wir mussten die Notfallnummer wählen, woraufhin wir glücklicherweise jemanden erreichten. Wir wurden instruiert, aus einem Schlüsselkästchen neben der Haustür mit einem zweiten Code einen Hausschlüssel zu holen. Das Schloss der Haustür hat geklemmt, und es dauerte jeweils, bis die Tür aufging. Das Türöffnen mit Code ging während des gesamten Aufenthalts nicht, so viel zum smart key. Das Internet funktionierte nicht, und auf meine schriftliche Nachfrage hin kam auch keine Antwort, auch nach 4 Tagen nicht. Zum Glück konnte man während Ladenöffnungszeiten das WLAN des Supermarkts im EG frech mitnutzen. Das Heisswasser in der Dusche setzte immer wieder aus. Ich habe dann mehrmals versucht, wegen der Probleme mit dem Vermieter auf dem telefonischen Wege Kontakt aufzunehmen, es wurde aber nie abgenommen, auch unter der Notfallnummer nicht! Das Apartment ist geräumig und zweckmässig, leider fehlte es bei der Ausstattung an kleinen Details wie Geschirrtüchern, die mussten wir uns selbst besorgen. Im WC roch es nach Schimmel in der Wand. Die wohl kürzlich erst durchgeführte Renovierung des Apartments wurde eher schlampig gemacht, was den Gesamteindruck schmälert. Insgesamt: Apartment okay, vom Vermieter aber sehr schlechter Service bei Fragen oder Problemen.
