Villa Madrè San Rossore Apartments - Self check-in

I had a small procedure at San Rossore hospital and instead of driving home that day I preferred to stay nearby overnight. Even though it was only for one night I wanted to be comfortable and I was relieved to find this place which is definitely the best by far in the area. With the small kitchenette in the units Villa Madre is also well suited to longer term guests who have friends/family staying at the hospital. The kitchenette is limited to an induction plate and hot water kettle so is really there to offer a bit of convenience instead of to make elaborate meals. There is a guest lounge with coffee, water and snack vending machines. Given its ample free parking I could also see it convenient for tourists visiting Pisa who have a car. Just know that it is about a 20 minute walk to the center of town that requires walking down through an underpass. There is information on taxis in the guest lobby.

The room only had one extra pillow that was unusable without a pillow case. it would be great to have two extra serviceable pillows given that it is a double bed.

Good location, about 25 minutes walk away from historic center. Parking included. The building itself is very modern.

Even close but still remote. All is online and we have barely seen anyone else. Parking provided but garage is not gated itself. We had some smell from the bathroom sink and there was a lack of hangers on the bathroom

Struttura e camera nuovissime, arredata con gusto, pulita e in ordine, parcheggio perfetto al piano -1. In generale ottima gestione del self check in.

Non mi è piaciuto il sistema di riscaldamento a pompa di calore che si attiva solo quando sei in camera. Siamo arrivati e la stanza era fredda tanto che non ho potuto farmi subito la doccia. Una volta alzata la temperatura, siamo usciti per 5 ore e al ritorno era ancora freddo perché appunto, in nostra assenza, si era spento tutto. Risultato dormito malissimo perché all’inizio troppo freddo e durante la notte troppo caldo. Suggerirei un attaccapanni per i giacconi in zona soggiorno, almeno un porta valigie pieghevole in camera e appendini in bagno per i salviettoni / accappatoi vicino alla doccia.
