Prainha Signature Penthouse

La situación es ideal y amplio.

En la ducha, la alcachofa de la ducha sale agua por detrás y pierde presión. En la ducha pequeña se sale el agua por la puerta, no es hermética. Por el precio que se paga se podría tener más papel higiénico. Para lo grande de la casa, la cocina un poco pequeña. Un cambio de toallas a los 3 o 4 dias. La ropa de la cama, la colcha es corta.

We had a great family holiday in Prainha (2 adults, 3 teens). The apartment is spacious, well-presented and very clean (cleaners also came once during our stay). Everything you need is provided, including kettle, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine, dishwasher, bed linen and beach towels, etc. The best feature of the property is the roof terrace which has a dining table, sunshade and amazing views over Alvor beach. The location is great, only 5 minutes' walk to the pool areas and the beaches. The Atlantic pool overlooking the sea was our favourite, and although there is an additional charge for sun loungers, there is plenty of room to lay on the grass, with both sunny and shady spots. The beautiful beaches can be accessed via steps, but also via the lift in Caniço restaurant. There is a small but convenient mini-market in the complex, just across the road (but be warned, most products are twice the price of other supermarkets in town). It is a 5 minute drive or 20–25 minute walk into the centre of Alvor and all the lovely bars and restaurants. Communication with the property on Booking.com was excellent, and the complex and the apartment were easy to find. 

This is not a penthouse; it is a nice 3 bedroom duplex apartment with a roof terrace. There are 3 flights of stairs in total (no lift), so bear this in mind if stairs are a problem for you. The apartment is a little dated, particularly the bathrooms and the kitchen, which could all do with an upgrade. This also applies to the communal areas in the complex. The third bedroom with bunkbeds is on the small size with only a small window with frosted glass. There is no A/C, which we found to be an issue in August. 

Fantastic location within the complex. Just across from the supermarket with their fabulous morning bread and pastries and a short walk to pool and/or beach.

Air con would have been nice, as it was very hot for the first few days of our trip.
