Close enough to the ocean, which was a walkable distance. On outer edge of town of Alvor

When I walked into the property, it was damp, musty smelling and cold which indicated to me no one had been in the unit for a while. Someone should have gone in ahead of time and aired it out and warmed it up for arrival. The curtains in the living room are falling down from hooks which makes it difficult to open and close them. The screens on all patio doors are ripped / torn so you cannot use them. There were some items missing from the kitchen that we needed to purchase which would have been helpful. (Wine opener, measuring cup). The couches are stained which are being hidden by covers. The decorative pillows were not pleasant looking or smelling. Trim fell off of the doorway unexpectedly. It would have helped to have a welcome booklet, to explain what to do with garbage, etc. Needless to say this unit needs some attention. I would have to think twice about rebooking here. I am not sure if this was simply the unit we were in or if it’s common in others.
