I stayed a couple of nights before a cruise. The staff was friendly and helpful- the room was clean - the bedding very good quality and very comfy bed. In fact I liked almost everything except for the fact that there was no way of contacting front desk staff other than to go out and do so physically (no phone). Because of this I may not book this hotel again as being older I feel better about having this available in case of an urgent situation. Restaurant - pricing is good; breakfast selection is excellent and good quality. The evening option is well priced but was disappointed in the fish & chips that wasn't as good as my last visit to England. Service was very good with some staffing but lacking with others - so a mix depending on who was on that shift. Location - was good for what I needed on this trip

We stayed for one night prior to a cruise from the port. It was perfect. We did not eat breakfast but did have a late dinner and it as very very good. A wonderful value.

Staff not really friendly on arrival but came across other staff who were. Only one towel in room booked for 2? Other guests said they had to ask too. Not sure air conditioner worked as it should. Seemed to turn off frequently and not at set temperature. Great location for visiting. Glad there was a bar and restaurant. Overall very happy with stay.

A great location but putting customer service behind the bar was unfortunate. The bar/wait staff/check in help all were very overworked. I hated bothering them with a question that really needed answering.

It was ok. Had 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel. When I asked for more and some wash cloths I was told they don’t provide them but I can go ‘over there and buy some’. We were handed 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel. Stark. No luxury, if that’s what you’re looking for go somewhere else.

This property clearly prioritizes customer service. From the staff at the restaurant / bar to the staff assistance when I couldn’t do the automated checkin (Expedia reservations / non-UK addresses don’t line up with their system), you could tell that they wanted you to be delighted with your stay. Would definitely stay here again if I am in Southport.

They gave us a handycap people’s room and bed us very low and all other rooms are booked and full for any changes.

Great location opposite a huge mall that has lots of options for shopping and dining. The hotel does not have parking onsite. There is a place for you to park for maximum of 10 minutes before you get fined. The actual parking is just behind, a multi-storey car park that is part of the mall. It has lift access for you to roll your bags and takes about 5 minutes to walk to the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff!
