Shakespeare's Writing Den On Riverside

This place was so nice. Reviews say it’s small, but it was quite nice with a living room area and galley kitchen. It got a bit stuffy and the windows needed to be open, but other than that, I thought it was a nice size for one or two people. Very convenient to the water and theatre. Just a perfect place. Very nice if you are low mobility, like a cane. Only a tiny step into the apartment. We loved it so much we extended our stay.

The apartment is right next to an ice cream shop and if you have the window open, can get loud during the day on the weekend. The garage entrance is very small and if there is a car parked there, difficult to get in and out. I had a wheelchair at this time that I transferred into (there is one step into the apartment) and I needed to contact the host to have the car moved to get my wheelchair past. The host was very helpful though and the car was moved quickly. Would be nice if there were more towel hooks by the shower and by the sink. That was the only thing I noticed missing. Really wonderful place.

We had a lovely stay in this apartment and would highly recommend it. The apartment was beautifully clean, comfortable and very well equipped with everything we could possibly need for our stay. The location was fantastic, making it really easy to get around and explore the area, with everything we needed close by. The owner was absolutely wonderful — incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Communication was excellent from start to finish, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. You can tell a lot of care and thought has gone into the apartment, and it was a pleasure to stay there. We would definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and conveniently located place to stay.
