Aarya Hotel and Spa - Eternal Heritage

The location was central and extremely handy to everything. The staff were exceptional, with special mention to Roshan that worked in the pool area and also one of the female receptionists Khushbu. Both went above and beyond to give us incredible service. Breakfast was amazing! My husband had his birthday whilst we stayed and the chef made a special effort to make his night special as well as the staff singing happy birthday to him.

I stayed at Aarya Hotel and Spa twice during my trip through Nepal and Bhutan: for three nights at the very beginning of my journey, and again for my final night before flying back to Spain. On both occasions, I chose a room with a balcony, and the views were spectacular. On the top floor, the hotel has a wonderful swimming pool, which is an absolute pleasure after coming back from a long day of walking or hiking. The gym deserves a special mention: it is one of the best-equipped and cleanest hotel gyms I have seen, even compared with many major international and Western hotel brands I have stayed at, and it also offers fantastic 360-degree views over Kathmandu. Breakfast is another highlight. There is an excellent variety of both Western and Nepali food, and the quality is outstanding. The service throughout both of my stays was equally impressive. Every member of the reception team treated me exceptionally well. The location, right in the heart of Thamel, is perfect. It is an ideal base when you first arrive in Kathmandu and want to explore the city or start different excursions, and it is equally convenient on your final day if you have any last-minute shopping to do. What impressed me most, however, was the staff’s willingness to accommodate every request. Before my second stay, I asked whether I could have a room on a higher floor to enjoy even better views. When I arrived, they had arranged a seventh-floor room with a balcony for me. It is also worth mentioning that I arrived very early on both occasions — first from Doha and, on my second stay, from Paro in Bhutan. The hotel had contacted me beforehand to ask about my arrival time, and on both occasions my room was already prepared for me at around 9:30 in the morning. On my final day, I asked whether it would be possible to check out at 2:00 p.m., as that was when my driver was picking me up for the airport, and once again they did everything possible to accommodate me.

Very clean, attention to details, decorations in traditional style, very quiet…It’s relatively new hotel, so give taxi drivers the exact address , Staff is very helpful, front desk agents Rupesh and Khushbu were amazing
