Holidays nomad hotel

Perfect placement. Vintage property.

Everything! I have been staying in Kathmandu off and on for 45 years; hotels (in the low to mid range) tend to be "okay".. but not great. Holiday Nomad is great! (Ok, yes, for upper end tourists who need five stars, maybe not.. but for travellers, yes, great 1) it is in fact the cheapest room I have stayed in (in US$ terms) in many years.. so very much worth the money. (As a single traveller, one often has to pay extra because all rooms are doubles) 2) the staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. 3) A good breakfast us included in the room price. 4) I stayed on the top floor.. and a nice view of Swayambhu Temple (aka the "monkey temple") at night is not to be missed. 5) in the center of Thamel without feeling all the hustle and bustle (the hotel is located 2 minutes down a small side alley off one if Thamel's main streets). It is also a bit closer to Tahity and Aşan, so easy to "escape" Thamel is tourist crowds get overwhelming.

the only suggestion of how to improve the stay experience is if there was Real off at breakfast rather than instant ;-)

Very kind and helpful staff. The room is cozy and the location is perfect.

No heater, but the blankets are really warm! Hot water for the shower can be a little tricky.
