Set in the heart of the Peak District National Park, our beautifully handcrafted Shepherd’s Hut enjoys a spectacular hillside setting with panoramic views across the Hope Valley, Castleton and the surrounding countryside.
Designed to a high standard throughout, the hut combines luxury, comfort and practicality — from underfloor heating and wireless charging points to cosy interiors and stunning countryside views right from your bed.
Guests also have the option to book private use of our indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and plunge pool facilities during their stay.
From the moment you arrive, motion-sensor exterior lighting welcomes you to your own private retreat. Open the doors, kick off your walking boots and relax in a warm, peaceful space designed perfectly for couples looking to unwind and explore the Peak District.
The hut is fully insulated with double-glazed windows and doors, making it comfortable all year round.

When it comes to a great night’s sleep, the hut features a beautiful pull-down double bed with a memory foam mattress. Bedding and towels are included.

A lovely little hut in a perfect location. Check out time is 9am so if we were to return, I think it would have to be for a minimum of two nights as 9am is pretty early so we didn’t even have time for breakfast before we had to clean up and check out. Considering the price and the small space, I think a complimentary addition of bits in the fridge would be good. Lots of places I’ve visited for the same price (and less!) on Vrbo have added in fresh bread, butter, orange juice and even Prosecco and muesli/croissants for breakfast. Makes such a difference after an almost 4 hour drive! Everywhere is different but I think it’d be a nice addition for the price.
Otherwise, the interior, location and host are brilliant. I will definitely recommend. Thank you!

Had such an amazing time staying in the cute little shepherd’s hut with its amazing views. It’s the perfect location to go walking or visit the local village and towns. 😊
