Chartres Street Retreat is a 2 bedroom 2 bath shotgun style New Orleans home located in the Faubourg Marigny. The Marigny neighborhood is located adjacent to the historic Vieux Carre` (French Quarter) with an abundance of entertainment and culture footsteps away from your front door.
While the Marigny is a fantastic neighborhood convenient to all the fun of the French Quarter, it offers a “Retreat” when time is needed to recharge. Chartres Street Retreat is located three blocks from Frenchmen Street and three blocks from Crescent Park which boasts the best view of the New Orleans skyline from the banks of the Mississippi River. As you sip a cocktail from the porch you might catch a spontaneous second line, a horse drawn carriage or a parade marching down our lovely street.

We went for our first trip to Mardi Gras, we are older (40's) and wanted to be able to get away from the crazy when desired. The location was a short walk to the Cafe du Monde and the start of Bourbon Street. We felt safe walking no matter the time. The place was very clean and set up very well. The owners are absolutely amazing people. They stayed in touch with us during our trip giving us recommendations for site seeing, food, and making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!
