About this cottage rental
Potters Cottage is a charming, traditional Victorian cottage in the heart of the conservation area of Deal. Just minutes’ walk to the historic high street, with its independent boutique shops and cafes and few more minutes to the wide-open beach front. The cottage is ideal for couples and families with flexible sleeping arrangements. The twin room can be a Super Kingsize bed, and the main bedroom has two folding beds for children. The cottage is full of natural light and is very quiet. Outside is a lovely walled courtyard garden with trees and shrubs offering a tranquil sunny green space away from the vibrant town.

Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house (six guests).
For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please be respectful to neighbours Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
Parties and loud music are not permitted.
No pets are allowed at this property.

In many ways Potters Cottage was a delightful cottage, characterful, well maintained and generously equipped in a great central location. However there are two reservations.
First, as we reported, there was a moth infestation which was clearly not new, and still noticeably active. This meant we had to take laborious steps to protect our belongings on return home,
Second, there was a lack of useable wardrobe space because the space was untidily stacked with extra equipment and other belongings.
My recommendation (below) is subject to these reservations which I trust can be addressed.

Potters Cottage is in a lovely location in a row of similar houses. Very quiet. Sitting out patio for dining with parasol and cushions.
Extremely well kitted out Especilly the kitchen. A downstairs WC was useful with a separate shower room upstairs and bathroom with gorgeous slipper bath - again both with own WC.
Bed linen crisp and white with an abundance of towels.
Loved the pottery dotted about and the artworks on walls - felt like a petite art gallery.
Easy walk to town, beach, even Sainsbury’s for supplies.

Potters Cottage is a lovely spacious property in an excellent location. A five minute straight walk from the train station and supermarkets which made it very straightforward getting our shopping before heading to the house for our stay.
The house is light and airy and I was impressed with the fact the house has three bathrooms, which is always a plus! The house is situated just behind the high street so a nice close walk to the shops and the sea front. While certain aspects of the house decor could do with a bit of a freshen up, overall it’s a great property to enjoy a stay in Deal!

It could have been very nice without the moth infestation and if the toilet flush had worked. Unfortunately, we were also not informed that an early check-in would have been possible.
