In the Pincetto area there is the Minimetrò terminus, an automatic rail transport system with cable traction that extends along a single line for a total length of 4 km. It connects the western outskirts of the city with the historic center, interchanging with the railway at the Fontivegge station.
For access to the historic center, there are also three escalator systems.

Numa’s daughter, Letizia, was so helpful and welcoming. We loved our stay! The apartment location is perfect and the balcony with the table and chairs was our favorite spot. If we find ourselves in Perugia again, we would definitely stay here again.

This was a beautiful apartment in an historic building in the heart of Perugia close to the cathedral. The host had thought of everything - providing all the essentials like condiments oil etc. lovely period furniture and very clean. A wonderful restaurant called Luce next door with amazing food. Only slight negatives were lack of a lift as on top floor which we were aware of and there was some street noise at night. But other that that it is perfect .

Great location in Old Town and a very lovely home.

The apartment was full of character and was like stepping into the life of the family who had lived there for many years. It was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could have needed and more. It is incredibly centrally located near the main square which is literally around the corner. The church bells of the nearby cathedral were lovely, particularly in the morning from the small balcony. The host was exceptionally accommodating and attentive throughout our stay. While the stairs leading up to the apartment might be a consideration for some, this was clearly noted in the listing—and in our opinion, the views and ambiance made the short climb well worth it and by the end of our visit, hardly noticed. Highly recommended!

We spent three weeks in Numa’s spacious and beautiful apartment. Still decorated as it was when his mother lived there, the apartment had a warm and authentic feel. Check in was very welcoming and smooth. The apartment is outfitted very well with everything we needed. The terraces were wonderful and we slept very well in the beds. Finally, the location was beyond compare. Located in a small and ancient street (which was actually washed with lemony power washing several times a week by the city and cleaned daily) it was just around the corner from the incredible main piazza with cathedral, fountain and Palazzo Priori. The location is also central in the centro storico for all the many sights in Perugia. Perugia is kept wonderfully clean, is very visitor-friendly with clear signage and brass information plaques in English and Italian in front of all historic buildings and sights throughout. A small and frequent train goes from the centro storico to the train station in minutes and a series of escalators takes you conveniently to the bus station, so touring Umbria without a car from here is easy. I recommend buying an Umbria Go pass, which allows you to use ALL methods of public transportation. So convenient! Loved our stay in Perugia and at Numa’s wonderful apartment!
