Riverwalk Retreat is a lovely escape with breathtaking views on the water. Centrally located on Wilmington's downtown river walk, this elegant property offers a front row view of the Cape Fear River. The vibrant river walk features some of Wilmington's favorite restaurants, shops and a view of the USS North Carolina WWll battleship.
Elegantly appointed, this is a quaint one bedroom unit with a queen bed, full bathroom, washer/dryer. This charming unit is bright and vibrant with a cozy living room, which leads to a balcony with a full view of the river walk. Please note - this unit is on the second floor of the building (top floor) and stairs are required to access the property.
Within walking distance of all that downtown Wilmington has to offer: restaurants, shops, tours of all varieties: water boat, walking, carriage, trolley, ghost and historical. Enjoy the view of our majestic battleship. Within 15-20 minutes, the beaches, theaters, UNCW, concert venue are a short drive away.
Guests will have access to the entire condo during their stay. We do have a locked owner's closet for our storage, but otherwise everything in the condo is available to use.
This unit is self check in. Hosts will be available through messaging.
We provide a parking pass for one car in a parking garage located a few blocks from the condo.

Verification & Rental Agreement
To help ensure a safe and secure experience for everyone, we use SafeGuest for identity verification and rental agreement review. After your reservation is confirmed, you'll receive a link with simple instructions to complete this process prior to arrival. A security deposit will be required through SafeGuest.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is 10:00 AM. These times allow our cleaning team the opportunity to thoroughly prepare the home for each guest.
During our busy summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), we are generally unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs from Friday through Sunday due to tight turnover schedules. During the week, we are happy to check availability within 24 hours of arrival or departure. When accommodations are possible, a fee of $25 per hour applies for early arrivals or late departures.
A Note About Coastal Wildlife
One of the joys of the coast is being surrounded by nature. Our area is home to a variety of local insects, including spiders, ants, and palmetto bugs, particularly during warmer months. The home receives regularly scheduled professional pest control treatments, but occasional sightings can still occur despite our best efforts. If you encounter any concerns during your stay, please let us know and we'll gladly arrange additional treatment if needed. Seeing native insects will not be grounds for a cancellation or refund.
Television & Streaming
While this property does not offer cable service, smart TVs or Rokus are available for you to access your favorite streaming platforms using your personal accounts. Please remember to log out before departure, or remotely through your streaming service if needed.
Cleanliness
Our housekeeping team takes great pride in preparing the home for every guest, however everyone is human. If anything doesn't meet your expectations upon arrival, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address it promptly and help ensure you have a comfortable stay.
Respect for Our Neighborhood
This home is located in a residential community, and we kindly ask guests to be mindful of our neighbors. Quiet hours are between 10:00pm and 7:00am each day. Parties and events are not permitted in accordance with platform policies. Excessive noise or unauthorized gatherings may result in the reservation being terminated without refund.
Travel Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your vacation investment from unexpected events. Reservations and cancellations are handled according to the cancellation policy selected at booking, and we are unable to modify reservation dates within 30 days of arrival.

As a result, you may occasionally hear sounds associated with downtown living, including pedestrians, vehicle traffic, or aircraft overhead. Loved the location and amenities of this bright airy condo! It’s conveniently located to restaurants and shops in historic downtown Wilmington plus the kitchen boasts everything you could need to prepare simple meals. Parking pass for a nearby parking deck (three short blocks away) worked great, as walking is the best way to move thru downtown. We were a little concerned about the possibility of ambient noise from the riverwalk and nearby venues, but the condo is well-insulated and soundproof. Our only issue was finding the correct set of stairs to access the condo .. use the last set of _enclosed_ stairs on the right side of the building, not the final set of _exterior_ stairs. We absolutely recommend this condo to anyone who’s staying in downtown Wilmington!

Our Overall experience was very positive. The condo was beautifully located on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the river, where we could see the sunset every night and watch the tour boats load and others pass by. Numerous restaurants were literally located within a 5 minute walk, yet we were also walking distance to various other attractions, guided tours, and souvenir shops. Inside the condo was a living room with a large sofa, lounge chair, and coffee table. This room was open to the kitchen that had a counter and bar stools, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, numerous cooking utensils and spices, and cups, glasses, and dishes, pots and pans, and silverware. The bathroom was adequate in size with hand soap and 3-in-1 soap in the shower. The shower had plenty of water pressure! The bedroom was large with a washer and dryer in the closet, and lots of extra pillows. If you are not planning to both sleep in the queen size bed. You will need to bring your own sheets and blankets if you want to sleep on the sofa. Lastly, the condo was easy to find, though we never did find the free 15 minute parking place to unload. We just parked at the bottom of the steps and ran our things up. The parking garage is about a 10 minute walk, but it is free to park there. Communication with the owner was timely and we would highly recommend staying here.
