The Egret is a beautiful and newly renovated, beach chic, coastal one bedroom cottage featuring two queen beds. All of our cottages are freshly painted and have new plank tile floors, and feature all new furnishings to make your stay perfect. Enter the cottage through your private screened in lanai featuring a table and four chairs and enter into the open and charming Egret cottage. Here you will find a combination living, kitchen space that is roomy and quaint and has everything you need for a relaxing and restful stay. The Egret cottage overlooks the grounds of the Periwinkle cottages giving you the opportunity to see the stunning wildlife and the charm of the cottages. All of our cottages have thoughtful and unique touches throughout, from the lighting to the coastal art on the walls. This a great cottage to experience "old Sanibel" charm. The beach is just a short stroll away without having to cross any streets. Experience sunsets like never before and explore the most beautiful shells in the world! Adorable cottage with free parking at the quaint beach at the end of the street. Free usage of nice bikes with baskets was great fun! You can walk to Bowmans beach from the ocean…about 1.5 miles away. Shelling was amazing. The property has a shelling station with a hose to wash off your sandy treasures from the beach. The cottage also had a screened in porch which was great for relaxing and admiring our shells. And we rescued a trapped lizard from the porch which was great fun! Wagon and beach chairs are available for each unit. There is little light noise so the night stargazing is great. Bring Keurig cups if you are a coffee drinker. Plenty of towels. Beach towels were a nice big size. Loved our stay!

Cute place. Connected to other properties. Has own screened in porch. Miniature kitchen sufficient for making snacks but definitely not meal prep. Cabin built for super tall people (and I’m 5-7”), the mirror in the bathroom, the kitchen cabinets etc lol. Could have used an stool. Arrived from a day of traveling with 1/2 a roll of toilet paper. Everything was closed and found a gas station on the island to buy some to get through the night. Asked property owner where more TP was. They said they don’t supply, which is completely absurd. (They did drop off a roll 24 hours later). Cabin is a 10 minute walk to the beach down a residential road and then lots of sand until waters edge. They have super cute bikes that you can ride there or you can drive down the road to where the sand begins. I’ve stayed a lot of places and the lack of amenities here is pretty astounding. (1 towels per person, 1 garbage bag, 1/4 of a sponge). But loved the bikes, and they had a wagon and chairs to use too, Which was great. We love Sanibel.
