Charming loft in the heart of Tours, quiet and ideal location

Celia was an excellent host suggesting restaurants, providing a number for taxi- rarely needed it is so well located. And allowed us to store bags a few hours beyond checkout which was appreciated. There was an “ unofficial greeter” sleeping on the sidewalk everynight which could be true in every city center and is beyond anyone’s control. We were asked to strip beds, empty trash and recyclables, and empty dishwasher which I had never experienced before. I was happy to comply in an exchange of good will since she let us stay a few extra hours. I would recommend and I would stay there again.

The flat is in a fantastic, convenient location in Tours, close to the tram and easily walkabke to most points of interest. The host did give us access to the apartment more than an hour before scheduled check in time, but wasn't available when we called to be buzzed in. We were able to get in when another tenant opened the door to leave. The apartment was cleaned when we got there, but lacked some things we expected, like trash bags (every trash can was empty). Additionally, we got a call during the week to allow a contractor access to do some quick plumbing work. We were not near the flat, and asked if it could wait for a few hours. Not sure if there was a miscommunication/misunderstanding, but it appeared that someone did access the flat while we were out (lights and doors not the same as when we left). I feel like that's a one off situation, but worth noting.

The apartment was perfectly sized for four adults, with all of the conveniences. The location was ideal - easy walk to the train station, the old town and river, and with lots of restaurants and shops in proximity.

We loved our stay at the very clean and efficient home. Once we figured out with our hosts assistance where to park our car and how to access the property it was smooth sailing. Sadly, while we were there it was during a heat wave. Everywhere we went in the Loire valley was soooo hot. Really no indoor air conditioning places to dine and the home itself was very warm. The kitchen and living area were nice. The bedrooms and bathrooms modern and nice. Appreciated the washer and dryer. The elevator was a nice amenity. We would stay again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

After our fist day there our two teenagers told us they wished we were staying there much longer! The apartment is spacious and lovely; the location is centrally located with easy reach to the autoroute and within walking distance to vieux Tours. Our host was wonderful and easy to reach with good communications prior to our visit. Indeed we wished we stayed there longer.

Wonderful place. While it's not huge, the layout is great so the space is maximized. the location couldn't be better - close to everything but not loud, close to the train station but not at all grungy. just half a block away from very charming cafes. Tours is such a wonderful, beautiful, historic place to visit, and very friendly too. We'd stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here with our children (11, 7, and 2). The location could not be more amazing and we were surprised by how spacious the apartment felt! It was better than the photos in my opinion and perfect for our family of 5. The owners were very kind and accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again.

We’ll equipped and decorated apartment in Tours which served as a good base for exploring the Loire Valley. Host was very communicative and accommodating. Within walking distance of shops and lots of restaurants. No parking but we found it quite easy to park on the street.

Loved this property! Great location, very well provisioned, owner was immediately responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed our mornings, afternoons and evenings there. We will definitely one back next year!

The property is in a great area and is three bedrooms, that is the only positive thing we have to say. To be let in to the property we had to wait for the cleaner who doesn't speak English to arrive, we gave her two warnings; a hour and a 10 minute warning as told to do by the host but our reply was I don't speak English which left us standing outside on the street with our toddler and luggage for 20 plus minutes. When we were let in we noticed the washing machine and dryer going to which the cleaner went in did something to one of the machines. We just assumed it was spare linen from the previous travellers. It was not, only one bedroom was made up we had to dry the other two bedlinens and make the beds up. There was food left in the fridge and dishes in the dish washer. All things we just managed ourselves as we are not people to make a fuss. We got on with it. In the entryway there is a wooden shelf that is on a lean against the wall, very flimsy and it has glass vases on the top. On our last day when we were leaving the property and taking out last bag out my two year old bumped the shelf and the black vases fell off. We cleaned it up as we had left the property cleaner than when we arrived we didn't want to leave any broken pieces anywhere I immediately informed the host and apologised and asked how much the vase was and said we would pay for it straight away. We never got a reply, I checked everyday and nothing which I thought was really strange. Over a week later I received a message with a 200 euro charge and stating we left lights on in the property and the hair dryer was missing. Now I have curly hair, I travel with my own hair dryer that has a diffuser attachment. To imply we stole their cheap hair dryer is just ludicrous. We are two professional that have glowing reports from every single other accomodation we've ever stayed at. I find it appalling that a host can charge 200 euro for a very cheap vase without any third objective party having to approve this. This has been disputed and awaiting a result however I urge the next person who looks at this property to keep scrolling it is not worth the extra charges and a host that makes up lies to make more money out of their property. So so dissapointed.
