We really enjoyed our stay in this little piece of paradise. The pictures don't give justice to the beautiful farm with all the animals and fascinating history. The apartment is very comfortable and well stacked with everything needed. We even got to grill outside! Special thanks to the gracious hosts for accommodating our late arrival and also showing all the hidden gems of the property.

The gite is very nicely furnished, extremely tasteful. WiFi is good. We enjoyed comfortable beds and quality bedding. Location is very quiet with chickens running round, which is lovely. I'd booked it partly because I thought the karaoke barn would be a bit of fun for us, but apparently you can only use it on Friday evenings, so we missed out. I wouldn't have booked the gite, however, if I had known about the cleaning policy - I don't recall there being anything on the page when I booked that the property had to be cleaned thoroughly for the next people, as I wouldn't have booked on that basis. I rejected others because of this. We were only there less than 36 hours and had an early ferry, so mopping floors was never going to be part of our plan. We only ever got one email months ago to confirm the booking, and nothing after that, so whether there was a subsequent one we should have received that told us this, I don't know. But having to stump up 50 euros as we were leaving as a cleaning fee left us with a sour taste. The owners don't speak English. We have enough French to get by. Enough to know that we weren't told of this on arrival either. If you are happy to spend time cleaning, this gite is undoubtedly a good choice.
